1. When or if I started shipping them: Um, first chapter Sasuke appeared, pretty much. Rivalry! ONSCREEN KISS! I was a goner.

2. What I think their challenge is: Sasuke is terrified of caring for someone again. Naruto is way too emotionally dependent.

3. What makes me happy about them: soulmaaaaates. Also when they side together against outsiders, also how much raw intensity they can pull out of each other, ALSO ALL THE HO YAY.

4. What makes me sad about them: So much heartbreak. ;^;

5. What moment I wish had never happened: um. well, I haven't liked the BWAHAHAHAing evil!sasuke thinger but maybe there's good in-universe explanation -- none of that "well, i as the author think it would make for a bigger challenge." Otherwise I like everything that's happened between them so far. >D

6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Hmm. Sasuke, with Sakura, or "fine you said you were sorry and I believe that, so i'll give you a LAST chance"!Karin -- IF Naruto stays his best friend forevarzomg. I don't think he can open emotionally to anyone else if Naruto isn't here to shore him up and provide stability/a good example/kicks in the ass when he withdraws again. Otherwise, no one; he'd emotionally destroy them, if he could even be convinced to bother. Naruto... if Sasuke is unavailable he goes with a lot of people. I'd be okay if he shacks up with Hinata or Sakura or even Ino, that'd be fun. Or maybe Sai, though while I see what Sai sees in Naruto I have a little more trouble seeing what Naruto could see in Sai except a Sasuke reminder (worst case scenario a replacement), and that'd be really bad for them both.

7. My happily ever after for them: Sasuke realizes exactly what he was on the verge of throwing away and decides to give up on his revenge and his obsession with the past for Naruto's sake, and he comes home.

1. When or if I started shipping them: Well, I wrote them meeting while Kery was bedridden and Reiyel was hitting on him to be a dick, and it was so funny I just kept at it, and then Reiyelmuse went all "oh crap, I think I like him for real now". I had NOT expected that.
2. What I think their challenge is: ASKERIAN IS SO GODDAMN STRAIGHT. ;^; ... also Rei is an asshole. That does not help. He's just plain not a good person, and just because he's in love, it doesn't fix that.
3. What makes me happy about them: The explosive dynamic. Always fun. Also Kery being suspicious of him/his motives. Bwahaha.
4. What makes me sad about them: Kery doesn't trust Reiyel (with good reason!), but he DOES feel sorry for him, and that really burns.
5. What moment I wish had never happened: NONE BECAUSE I'M EVIL BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Reiyel does not "end up" with people. People are breaks he takes along the way. I guess he could keep shacking up with Belial. Askerian would probably find himself a nice girlfriend or other and have an easy, comfortable, BORING relationship with.

1. When or if I started shipping them: I don't think I ever shipped them. It felt to me as if Orochimaru never did care at all but was using Jiraiya all along, and Jiraiya gave up on him. I can't find a friendship or even a one-sided heartbreak to build on between them.

2. What I think their challenge is: Orochimaru doesn't have the emotional ability to care about anyone he cannot own or use, and even then the best he can do is to love them like one loves their tools.

3. What makes me happy about them: They have a few moments where Oro snarks at Jiraiya and I can't help but like that. XD;

4. What makes me sad about them: THEY COULD HAVE BEEN FRIENDS AT LEAST but Orochimaru was not emotionally available and Jiraiya didn't push.

5. What moment I wish had never happened: I'm pretty much okay with that whole plot.

6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Oro: uhh. he has his nubile young men harem and ... Okay, no, Kabuto, they're totally married already. XD Jiraiya, with Tsunade. ♥

7. My happily ever after for them: I think they best they could do would be Orochimaru giving up on his obsession for immortality and allowing himself to truly become friends with Jiraiya but I do SO not see that happening. @__@; Just not who Oro is.

Kurama/Hiei

1. When or if I started shipping them: I think around the time when they were drafted in to help Yuusuke, though it was mostly that I loved Hiei and Kurama was pretty. Then I started really thinking about their history and the way they know each other in a way the two humans don't.

2. What I think their challenge is: They're youkai. There's probably issues of trust and power levels and who can eat who between them. (... mmm nonhuman mindsets)

3. What makes me happy about them: THEY'RE YOUKAI. :D also, neither of them is uke, pretty flowing red locks nonwithstanding. They make for a really dangerous partnership. They have funny interaction, neither of them is "the stupid one", they're both bemused/amused/strangely faithful to Yuusuke...

4. What makes me sad about them: Nothing? I like the way they interact just fine, and I don't think there's any real roadblocks to worry about.

5. What moment I wish had never happened: I was a little woe at them going to work for a different makai lord, but you know in a few years they'll have taken over and then they'll go right back to having weekly meetings and sparring and being nakama. Also I don't think either of them cares about being exclusive/faithful (nonhuman mindset!) so I don't see Kurama being all heartbroken and moping because Hiei likes Mukuro. Actually he'd likely laugh at him a bit and say something about how cute that is.

6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Hiei, Mukuro or Yukina (ohoho twincest). Kurama is fine on his own, though I see him as a serial monogamist pretty easily. Also, either of them would likely jump at the chance to hook up with Yuusuke, but that wouldn't become anything more than a fuckbuddies thing. Being his friends/allies/people who stand at his back is more important.

7. My happily ever after for them: pretty much them being makai lords/seconds in command where it doesn't matter if they don't see each other for several years, they always know they'd just have to call and the other one would be there in a heartbeat and there would be no debt between them. Comfortable.


Heero/Duo

1. When or if I started shipping them: When I started reading fanfic, so... before I had seen the series. It was the one ship I kept seeing everywhere, I naturally got convinced. XD

2. What I think their challenge is: ... I don't know. Heero is rootless and it seems that's a problem for him. Maybe if their ideals and what they want to do after the war pulled them on different roads -- they'd place that higher than staying together, I think.

3. What makes me happy about them: the mutual snark! the saving-each-other! the teasing and poking and prodding from Duo, the "i'll pretend I don't care and then go and use your name" from Heero, the trust in each other's ability that develops, the low-key mutual admiration by the time of the movie (heero admitting that duo is a better pilot and he trusts his ability, duo being all "what a guy!") ...

4. What makes me sad about them: I've been losing the OOOOOH OTP. sometimes it'll come back into focus for a bit, and then i'll go and forget why they fit again. T__T

5. What moment I wish had never happened: Nothing in particular.

6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Heero, with Wufei (nghyesplz). Or Relena (they'd be a Very Srs. couple, but they're on the same wavelength so that'd go fine.) Or Hilde (it's fun! XD). Duo, with Hilde, or a FWB thing with quatre-and-trowa. Or anyone he wants, he's good like that.

7. My happily ever after for them: They find a new cause after the war and stay partners and work on it together being disgustingly competent and snarking at each other and being hot together. Yesh.

1. When or if I started shipping them: During the time Sakura was getting beat up and Ino had all those flashbacks and then she jumped in the middle to protect her. It was beautiful. T^T-b

2. What I think their challenge is: They don't really talk openly about their deepest issues anymore, do they? ;__; Their bond is not as painful as it was, but as a result it has become more shallow.

3. What makes me happy about them: Snarky friendship! The fact that they can induge in their feminine side with each other (it's kinda discouraged outside of that -- girly is lesser somehow. >__>)

4. What makes me sad about them: Sakura doesn't define herself by her relationship to Ino anymore, she's growing out of their rivalry and Ino likely feels herself left behind -- they are still friends, but she's not one of Sakura's most important bonds which Sakura uses to define herself anymore.

5. What moment I wish had never happened: The filler's "Ino iz a healer now too!! :D " and then the manga picking that up. They could have had Ino working on her OWN skills -- she's a telepath! she could be working on interrogation and possession and mindbreaking and instead she tries her best to copy Sakura and perpetuate the "girl = not fighter = healer" cliche. I mean a telepath isn't a direct fighter either but it's still ORIGINAL. It would be HERS. You don't see Sakura trying to pick up mind jutsu! >:/

6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Sakura, Naruto&Sasuke, or maybe Lee (tho they have their own issues.) Ino, with Naruto (short-term only but WOWZA so much fun XD) Sai (it could be hilarious) or Temari. (mmmm *_*) Maybe Chouji, but only if it gets more development than "chouji is awesome so he deserves a hot girlfriend, and Ino ought to become less shallow!" because whoa double standards.

7. My happily ever after for them: they start talking again, Sakura allows Ino to HELP her with her problems, to back her up in her fights, they have strategy sessions together and discover they can do awesome things together and they can save people too, they become stronger thanks to each other and they don't slide into "naw, i'm fine, what makes you think i'm not :) so how about that movie yesterday", and sakura realizes she's jealous of ino's boyfriends taking ino's attention away from her and oh, damn, i can so be attracted to girls after all. (ino already knows that, thanks XD she looks to me as more self-aware that way than sakura would be. XDD)

1. When or if I started shipping them: I don't ship them as a twosome, but I do love the Sai => Naruto dynamic. His hero worship is so n'awwww, I can totally buy him in love with Naruto.

2. What I think their challenge is: Naruto alas is totally oblivious and, if he's thinking about romance at all, in love with either Sasuke or Sakura or both. Also, Naruto fancies himself straight, and he's not that intense with Sai so I'm not sure how Sai would convince him to give it a try.

3. What makes me happy about them: They're funny/cute.

4. What makes me sad about them: The thought that Sai would likely consider himself second best to Naruto's love for Sasuke/team seven in general.

5. What moment I wish had never happened: Well, for Sakura his guilt trip was bad, but for what it means about his relationship to Naruto, he was trying to defend Naruto and/or get him what he thought Naruto wanted and that was ... clumsy and wrong, but at least he was trying and it showed he was growing up emotionally (even if he's not there yet XD). Hmm. That moment has me really ambivalent.

6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Sai: pre-guilt trip I would have said Sakura but, well. :/ Ino, as a humoristic get-together thing, but I don't know how they'd deal with each other. ... Sasuke, actually, it would be REALLY weird and messed up but perhaps also strangely full of parallels and 'i get you's. Perhaps Suigetsu, because I'm evil like that. XD

7. My happily ever after for them: Well. It involves a team Kakashi harem. XD;

2. What I think their challenge is: do they even know each other, apart from "that douche who wanted to tell me how to raise my kids"? What do they have in common apart from Naruto? Kakashi was an ANBU and is always out of the village, Iruka teaches kids, what would they talk about? Both their parents are dead, big deal, half the village probably counts with that criteria and besides Iruka's parents nobly sacrificed themselves and Kakashi's commited suicide out of public shame... what do they have in common? I can't see it, I can't see one reason why they'd bother at all, sometimes I think this pairing was born half because "lol naruto has a daddy and mommy" and half because of a total lack of other options.

3. What makes me happy about them: Nothing, really.

4. What makes me sad about them: fucking iruka is not naruto's MOMMY and that does not make him a HOUSEWIFE-UKE STEREOTYPE. okay no it doesn't make me SAD per se... >__>

1. When or if I started shipping them: aaaall along the gaaaaame it was so full of cute. also then i read a ton of awesome fic. .__.

2. What I think their challenge is: The boys coddle Kairi too much and made her a bit of a prize to squabble over at times. That needs to stop.

3. What makes me happy about them: so entangled and caring so much about all of them and aaaaacute. I love that Riku fell deeper into darkness because he was doing his best to save kairi and because he felt betrayed by sora NOT doing that (or so he thought or something), I love that Sora cares for them both so much, I love that Kairi is pretty much the brains of this operation, I loved when she forgot Sora but didn't *quite*.

4. What makes me sad about them: Mostly Riku's issues because Sora and Kairi are real easy to see as "let's all hook up." Sora wouldn't even notice the rules he's flaunting and Kairi would... care but decide to NOT care, IF ONLY THEY COULD THINK ABOUT IT. argh. DX Poor brokenriku. he needs huggles and lovin'.

1. When or if I started shipping them: I think when I started shipping rukia/orihime, which was during that time Rukia reassured Orihime that she could fight and then they started training together. I just also went "hey, but Orihime likes Ichigo and Rukia also probably does. Hmmm."

2. What I think their challenge is: Rukia and Orihime are both in love with Ichigo, while they "merely" love and care for each other; but in the other hand they open up more and communicate better with each other than with him. He's a bit lost and submerged because he's not really great with girls as GIRLS (as a romantic thing, instead of people with breasts)

3. What makes me happy about them: So cute and full of cracktastic glee.

4. What makes me sad about them: Rukia is a shinigami, she can't just come and shack up with them, it's going to have to be a long-distance relationship at leats part-time and those are hard.

5. What moment I wish had never happened: nothing so far. Hmm.

6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Rukia, with Renji. Orihime, with Ishida (i used to ship them in the Save Rukia arc. XD) Ichigo, with no one. He's not looking for romance.

1. When or if I started shipping them: not sure I really shipped it as a mutual thing outside of a team hebi orgy (the sasuke in my head is all "i don't want dissension in the ranks so i'll do all of you or none of you, no favoritism." XD) but I started liking karin=>sasuke when it started showing that she wasn't merely a cliche fangirl but that her interest was kinda creepy and weird. XD That made things so much more interesting.

2. What I think their challenge is: Sasuke is too obsessed with other things to let her in, and other people have prior claims that Karin would need to root out.

3. What makes me happy about them: they're hilarious. Also yay for sexywrong.

4. What makes me sad about them: Sasuke is an asshole.

5. What moment I wish had never happened: Sasuke going crazy enough to fucking stab through her and not apologizing and and and -- it was awful. But funny enough, Karin going "fuck it, i'm not gonna let myself be USED like that" made me like the idea of them getting together after sasuke tracks her down and CRAWLS about how sorry he is better. Make him respect your boundaries, karin! >(

2. What I think their challenge is: I can see them all so enamored with how smart they personally are and so busy showing it that they hurt the other guys' feelings.

3. What makes me happy about them: Smart is sexy. Snarky is also pretty sexy. Friendship and friendly rivalries only make it sexier.

4. What makes me sad about them: It mostly makes me sad for Ran, Aoko and Kazuha.

5. What moment I wish had never happened: not a clue.

1. When or if I started shipping them: I think it started with sugahlei's fic, I have no clue if it's even still online, it was years and years ago. Or maybe it was the second i went "oh hey what if kyuubi was forced in a human shape". I don't remember.

What I think their challenge is: um, Kyuubi is (at least mentally) an evil fox XD he doesn't consider humans as mate material AND he isn't really the type to have a mate anyway. ... also sasuke is quite against the idea of being *owned*, because with Kyuubi that's what it would attempt to become.

3. What makes me happy about them: ... oh god why so hot. nghhhh.

4. What makes me sad about them: they'd kill each other. T^T also a lot of potential for the hot/messy BDSMish passionate relationship to turn into noncon/abuse.

5. What moment I wish had never happened: ... uchihas can control the kyuubi! why? uh, they weren't hyped enough i guess. >.>

1. When or if I started shipping them: I don't actually ship them on their own, without Sasuke (though maybe with Sai, but more as a friends and teammates who use sex to bond some more than a romantic thing.) I love the idea of them as best friends and partners, though.

2. What I think their challenge is: Sakura wants to help and make herself useful; Naruto wants to do everything on his own and protect her and prevent her from worrying. They don't communicate about their deeper issues as well, when those aren't related to Sasuke (naruto has no clue about sakura's uselessness issues, sakura lied to naruto about the kyuubi injuring her, etcetera.)

3. What makes me happy about them: NAKAMA. ;^; also how sakura has changed her view of naruto so totally and is now solidly on his side through anything (now if he could remember that and stop leaving her out of the loop. >___>)

4. What makes me sad about them: AAA COMMUNICATE.

1. When or if I started shipping them: I think from the first timle I played that game. It's the most intense and important relationship of the story, so of course being a silly yaoi fangirl I immediately wanted to hook them up. XD;

In AUs where Seph didn't go off the deep end, there's issues with Cloud hero-worshipping Seph and perhaps not seeing the real him or being so blinded by hot awesomeness that he'd say yes to things he shouldn't, and, if started when Cloud is a Cadet, the age difference makes Seph sound kinda skeevy. :/

What makes me happy about them: i love these moments where they come across as surprisingly similar in the way they think or react. also, the hotness. it's just. hot. yes. oh god yes. also the sword fights. mmmm. also it amuses me how in the game cloud spent his time obsessed with hunting down sephiroth and ending him, and in the movie seph spent his time trying to make cloud stop being all lalala happily ever after i don't care about you anymore. role reversal! XD

4. What makes me sad about them: doooooooooooomed. ;__;

5. What moment I wish had never happened: I dunno, I kinda love it all. Even the moments which seriously ruined Seph's chances of getting Cloud consensually. The betrayed/hateish reaction is what gives the pairing its awesome flavor. XD

6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Seph, with Zack. Cloud, with Zack, Aeris, or Tifa.

7. My happily ever after for them: RESTORE. not too easy, and also not nothing but each other, they'd fall into weird obsessive craziness and that wouldn't be good for either of them. XD

2. What I think their challenge is: oh god the tempers on them. Aang pulls at Katara's good sides, but with Zuko she really lets out the impatience and the hard-to-come forgiveness. (funny enough that makes it way more interesting as a pairing to me. >__>)

3. What makes me happy about them: Passion! Also they're both hot. Okay so i'm shallow. :p

4. What makes me sad about them: I don't like the idea of breaking up their canon pairings to get them together, that'd make them unhappy and I like Aang and Mai too, so it's hard for me to find fic that handles post-series get-togethers respectfully and believably enough. Also I don't like the idea of Katara becoming nothing but Zuko's consort, uprooted and alone in his court where it's WAY too warm for her yearlong, but the only possible heir to the Fire throne can't really become HER consort instead, neat as that would be. Sadness. ;__; then again I like long-distance, "we have our own lives and important tasks but we still enjoy stealing months of togetherness here and there" relationships too and theirs would be perfect for it.

5. What moment I wish had never happened: Zuko offering her her mother's killer just so he could get in his good graces, that didn't make me look at him in a good light.

6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Canon pairings are fine with me. Zuko, with Jet if he had lived.

7. My happily ever after for them: ... i think that's pretty much what I said in 4. XD They each have their important responsibilities and place in their respective communities, and there's mutual respect in that, and the fact that they would not have such a high regard for each other if the other person did not put those responsibilities higher than their own personal selfish needs, how matter how strong those burn -- but they travel to see each other pretty often anyway.

... XD sorry, yeah, that'd be overkill I think. I don't really ship any singular kakashi/student ships so it's more like OT3-as-a-group/kakashi. I can't figure out a dynamic where they'd all four of them be equals. It squicks me a bit one on one. Sasuke at least was never that respectful, but Naruto started out wanting Kakashi's approval like he'd gotten Iruka's and Jiraiya's, and Sakura I can't see outgrowing her memory that she was his student, and that dynamic might carry over. When they're all three together of course Kakashi is no match against their combined strength of will, but then it becomes unbalanced the other way... meh. I kinda like the idea of it sometimes, but I think if the kids tried to take him too deep in kakashi would break away entirely; at best he'd always hold himself a bit remote. Mrgh. I don't know, maybe they'd make it work for them that way, but it doesn't ping me. .__.

Now add Sai, or maybe Ino or Hinata, to team Seven, and that kinda interests me. XD;

1. When or if I started shipping them: Hmm. A long time after I started shipping ot3 -- it came gradually out of team seven love, and even then while I like the idea of them hooking up in canon I still don't like to read or write it without Naruto in it, so i'm not sure it really counts.

2. What I think their challenge is: Sakura is a bit too willing to bow to Sasuke's decisions and will (though she has shown before that when it's truly important she can tell him to get his head out of his ass) and Sasuke... has his head so far up his ass he can't really listen to her. >__> But I think their main obstacle is that as long as Sasuke is on his revengey path he's just not emotionally available, so all the amount of offering she does amounts to nothing. He needs fixing first.

3. What makes me happy about them: That she DOES call him on it, that she isn't blindly siding with him, that she truly sides with him. That back when he wasn't entirely obsessed yet he would protect her and get angry on her behalf. That it's dark and angsty and painful but it's not poisoned, there's light at the end of the tunnel. They could be happy.

4. What makes me sad about them: All the trials and heartbreak -- but it's a good sadness, because it'll be healed at the end and only make the end result sweeter. *believes!*

5. What moment I wish had never happened: I'd say Sasuke going off the deep end and trying to kill her, but I still trust Kishimoto will fix him in the end. I just really really hope it won't come across like a cheap ass-pull. ~__~

6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Sasuke, Naruto, Sakura, Lee or Ino.

It's a crossover between FF7 and Familiar of Zero (Or if you would prefer Zero no Tsukiama) I say you would like this because it has kitten Aries, puppy Zack, and crow Sephiroth. I think it's amusing and cute at the same time, and the style reminds me a lot of your own now that I think about it.

1. When or if I started shipping them: I don't remember, about the same time I figured out zack existed maybe? it wasn't very long after when the game came out, which is FOREVER ago.

2. What I think their challenge is: all of Seph/Cloud issues re: fucked up childhoods and damage and socially awkward introverts -- though zack mitigates a lot of that. :D

3. What makes me happy about them: it hits my faithful underling!kink. XD also it means i don't have to choose between all three subpairings. v. important, that.

What makes me sad about them: how it could have ended up so much better, and instead zack is betrayed and then he dies and seph betrays them whgile thinking they betray him and goes crazy and cloud gets soooo fucked up as a result and is pretty much the only one who gets to survive, but with MASSIVE scars and seph forever stained in his memory. ;__;

5. What moment I wish had never happened: um. let's say i enjoy Nibelheim Happened Differently/Not At All for a reason. >__> problem is, that'd rewrite most of the game.

5. What moment I wish had never happened: none so far! I like all of their interaction.

6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Canon girlfriends are fine. Kid with Hakuba is also okay with me.

My happily ever after for them: I like the interaction they have now, and they'd be bored with easy lives, so... hm. they ally to take down Black Org and then go right back to being rivals and trying to outdo each other, but in a much more lighthearted way. They then get together but that doesn't change a thing about their rivalry. XD
