Well, hate to admit it, but the main reason I don't didn't like NaruSaku on its own was because they felt more Like Brother And Sister to me by Part 2. They were very close, united in their efforts to get Sasuke back, but... I dunno. I didn't feel any romantic vibes (though that might be Kishi not being able to convey any things romantic). And I certainly could never see them romantically involved without Sasuke somewhere in the picture.
I was honestly surprised when Naruto admitted he couldn't confess to her, because I'd gotten the impression he'd grown out of the crush as he got more focused on Sasuke. ... :/ That was rather silly of me, now that I think about it.
But you make it all make sense! You understand and have explained all their dynamics beautifully! I really ship it now :P

You know what? I still don't ship it without a Sasuke in there, and while I wanted to keep his feelings for Sakura for the sake of the ot3, I was as surprised as you when that flashback about Naruto's melancholic "i can't tell her" popped up, because whoa hadn't he been taking it too seriously before then, not since the promise of a lifetime. And yeah, it does feel kinda sibling-ly, or at least best-friends-ly, and I think it would be easy to keep them emotionally close yet still entirely platonic ... i'm just a perv, so I don't want to.

But, that's part of the appeal, woohoo varied dynamics. XD So we have the rivalshipping, the tragicshipping and the cutefunnyshipping all together! ahh team seven. :333

Eeehhhhh o__________o I'm so awed about that post that if I was a cartoon my eyes would sparkle and shine adoringly right now. It's just...SO RIGHT, I can't find anything else to say. I would babble on and on and reach 6K of useless composition in trying to describe their relationship, but you kept the essentials clear. Not by chance you write all the time and I don't haha. XD

Like first poster said, it's nice to read some concrete argumentation that reflects your own fuzzy/vague thoughts. And you cleared up some details I never understood in the manga (like Naruto's "Ah, now I see why I like her so much" He never said it was her 'determination' to attract him, but as interpretation it's the most fitting one. I swear, that scene doesn't give a hellofaclue!)Plus, reading about Part I made me nostalgic...I miss them like that ;__;

Glad I got an insight on what you take into account when writing, too. Once you nail one's character, he becomes so real that writing scenes can surprise you. I guess that's how it feels when the characters act on their own. Ending comment before I prove further I dn't have the summary gift.

I feel an overwhelming love for team7 now. X3 Want to write fic in the office...
