teamwork review:
I just reread the first story and am rereading the second one...please don't have Sakura marry Sasuke...Oh pretty please?

Though maybe she's afraid I'll emphasize the sasusaku side so much that the narusaku and/or the narusasu will fall by the wayside and then Naruto will be all alone as they float off in wedded bliss. Which is kind of funny because that's exactly what will happen!

I would have a lot less of an instant *twitch* at this review if she actually explained why, like a plot-related reason, some trope she saw done wrong or that tends to imply unfortunate things and is therefore a pitfall she wants to make sure I avoid.

Because looking at her profile she's a yaoi only girl. Huh... Who doesn't like romance in stories... like there's zero in teamwork as it is? Granted it's kind of more action and character oriented than "oh my love the fruit of our union is growing in your ripening belly i can see our forever in your eyes~" but STILL.

(actually it's probably not romantic ENOUGH for a get-together story. sometimes it really does read as more of a friends and partners who fuck than a real falling in love thing. Blargh. T__T)

But anyway. oh my, what a sincere request, and from such a dedicated fan!

Also, I think this is one of the only stories that I actually like Sakura in. She is very useless in the beginning of Naruto the show and annoying in the rest of it. But the way you have described, makes me like...

I'm really trying not to make a snap judgment here, but honestly the first explanation that comes to mind is that she likes Sakura in this fic honest! just, still not enough to let her marry Sasuke.

I must admit, I had a similar view before I started this fic. I was a yaoi addict with the very occasional trip into NarutoHinata love. But you quickly converted me to a OT3 addict. (g) There are so *few* good, quality SasuSaku stories available .. most become a bad harlequins within a chapter or two. And the absolute disregard that Kishimoto gives to his female characters in anime/manga doesn't help.

But I adore the strong Sakura of Teamwork. She doesn't know how she ended up in this mess but she's willing to change herself into this incredibly strong woman to hang on to the man she wants ... and she's surprised herself by discovering she wants both of them. And I can understand her finally. And it's not just physically, she's changing. She's grown up and discovered what she has to offer. I so wish you had been writing Shippuden. I think I would have liked your Sakura even if it wasn't OT3 in the anime/mange if you were writing the female characters.

And your Sasuke and Naruto are delightful. With Sasuke still the cold b******d of original and Naruto still as loud and clueless as ever, these are the characters I feel in love with 4 years ago. You've given them life and the ability to grow but not taken them away or made them into some strange Prince Charming.

And re-reading that, I know I sound crazy - you didn't change the boys and I loved that but you changed Sakura and I approved - I'm on painkillers and probably shouldn't be writing but ... darn it, TW is soooo good. You let the characters be adults without taking away their best qualities.

Gonna go take my broken bones back to bed with my vicodine and hope I sound saner than I think I do. But, just wanted you to know, you have convinced more than one yaoi addict that Sakura is wonderful paired with Sakuke and Naruto.

I'm always amazed that people seem to forget that if they don't like a particular plot or pairing in a story they can just, you know, NOT READ IT.

no, I think I see what you mean a little. Sakura had POTENTIAL and good starting points, but (especially recently) Kishi sucks at taking the time to develop them properly and realistically, and since he's more concentrated on the great narusasu love story sometimes sakura ends up bending for the needs of the plot, instead of the plot bending to her character and personality like it does for naruto and sasuke (and even sasuke i feel has been pushed a leetle bit far down the ic road to hell in the name of moar angst. XD alright, so naruto has lost a lot of his loud and clueless and kinda rude charm recently in favor of determined, leadership-potential young cliche as well... could have gained one without losing the other, kishi DX ) ... is that it?

well, after the second exam there's a one month lag and then the tournament. I suppose I could fill the one month lag with deliciousness, but I think they're gonna be training. XD

who sits wear and trying to keep the political ramifcations of such to a minimum....after all if Sasuke wants people to take him seriously in politics, an Uchiha wedding invite would get him major political brownie points.
..... and now i can see Sakura fretting over seating arragements and Sasuke scowling at them and Naruto going bwah? and secretly plotting Sasuke's Bucks Night (Ino would totally do Sakura's Hens Night and order a male!stripper).

I agree with people undervaluing healers and/strategist (Shikamaru is a great example of how a good strategy can beat outright strength) but although Sakura has the potential for these things I dont know that we get to see them much in the anime (I'm not up on the manga yet so maybe that changes).
From what I've seen Kakashi is their strategist, I don't think I have ever seen Sakura use her intelligence in a battle strategy. And as for a healer part its simply bad planning to have a healer on a team with someone like Naruto (auto-heal) Yamato and Sai (long-distance fighters tend to get hurt a lot less).
No matter how brilliant Sakura may be she never has the opportunity to shine because of the team she is in. The one time she is out of it (the battle with Sasori & Chiyo) she really shows her stuff.
In my opinion no one this show no one has been given a shorter stick than Sakura. She is the only one who doesn't have an "ability" (some also add Lee to this group but I disagree since speed is a VERY valuable attribute) that kishi can cut to during a battle. Half the time I'm wondering where she is. With her strengths she should be a combination of Tsunade and Shikamaru but I dont see that.
One of the reasons I LOVE teamwork is that we get to see Sakura use those skills. We get in her head and hear strategizing, and even though she's not pulling fancy jutsu's we see her useful. And I love the line where she's like "No, pretend I'm Naruto. Now what should we do?" This is what she should be doing in canon. Because I think we can all agree that Sakura does not get equal treatment but then none of the girls do (And as much as I love Tsunade hemophobes dont become doctors).

Um. I don't want to bother you with nuisance but ^-^;; Can I pop up with two tiny comments on TW? 1. After reading again the lemon that took place after the seal was completed, it seemed strange to see Sakura acting so shy and unsure later, when the boys snuck in the girls baths before the exam. She looked so surprised when Sasuke shampooed her hair ;^; (that part always moves me). I'm guessing it's because she wasn't expecting a tender gesture from him, despite having already had the rough sex.
2. Come to think of it, how the hell did the hokage and the other jounins knew what had happened between the three, at the beginnings of the story, when they banged in Naruto's home like that? Had they been suspicious from the night before, seeing them walk drunk hand in hand?

Best part about guest lists is that Sasuke has to handle them for the most part. After all, he's the clan leader... >.> >DDDD

Granted, Naruto isn't the one marrying her, so it isn't as OMGromantic~~ as if Sasuke did it. 9.9

Btw, loved SasuSaku when I started in fandom, was my second favorite pairing behind LeeGaara - heh, found Maldoror as my first Naru author - but so many 12 yr authors writing 3/4 bad harlequins years ago, very depressing. Have a handful I follow now but still ... just don't like stories that change Sasuke into a Prince Charming type character. There are so few delightfully, sarcky and dismissive characters in any fandom. He has spent so much of his life with tunnel vision, can't picture him 'in-love'. Would interfere with training. You make him very 3D, with complete fears and ambitions. Very understandable. He ... and Kakashi. Love, love, love!

NaruSasu is actually easier to understand with Naruto's obsessive, driven personality seeming to have only 2 goals - become Hokage and depending on author, fight/'rescue' Sasuke. As for NaruSaku, never thought he had a chance there although Naruto is still trying and Kishimoto has done nothing to suggest a change in Shippuden ... well, okay, was very strange last couple manga but ... I think Naruto will keep trying, love Naruto refusing to give up.

Your fic is not exception ... just best written. It is the first OT3 I've discovered that allowed each character to be an intergral part of the relationship, not a excuse for the other 2 to get together. And each character remains true to him/herself. Of course Sakura would fight the hardest to protect not herself but others and yes, Sasuke would help others - if he had to - but 'gimme your token' for the trouble and Naruto, poor Naruto, would be more involved with what has happened than being concerned about what's gonna happen.

Frustrating as reader, words not my thing really and fuzzy brain doesn't help, but yes, you are that wonderful as author. You make it all seem not only plausible but obvious. Great work. I know from reading your journal it is not as seamless it appears but you make it seem as if it is only possible way for characters to go. Incredible, involving, OT3 characters. Very close to perfect even if you don't think so.

And as an aside --- eh, Sakura having to fight while it show. Ehhhh!!! Yes, yes, yes! Momma's gonna kid a**! And, yes, please wedding. Gotta have the wedding. With Sasuke trying to work in time to train btw wedding and reception, Naruto in charge of food LOL and bachelor party, and Sakura being the only one trying to sell the whole thing for political capital. Hahaha!

I am having similar issues with a NaruSasu fic I'm writing on the Pit because people keep requesting I change it into a KibaSasu. I just what is this I don't even.

I'm sorry you had to put up with the stupid. Even though yonks and yonks of SasuSaku badfic has turned me off the pairing for the most part, I still love it in TW and some other goodfics I follow.

And nggggh Naruto feeling left out of the threesome was very prominently foreshadowed in TW 1/2/whateveronethatwasIforget. I'm so glad that wasn't just me being biased towards Naruto. Except I totally am but shhh. It made me sadface even then and you're going to do horrible angsty things with it in future and I will cry. ;_;

I suppose if she were worried that the marriage would exclude Naruto too much it would be a valid (but unnecessary) concern. But the way you put it and with what little she wrote it sounds like she just doesn't want Sakura to get much attention. Which is,at best, silly, since Sakura is an integral part of the relationship and her getting married to Sasuke is both politically necessary and integral to her social standing and therefore well-being.

Also! It's what's best for the baby. Why is she not thinking of the baby. She must think of the baby.

Hey traditions. Well, I dunno if you can use this or how are you going to play this part, but in my country, it's traditional to give gifts to the household that they are going to need on a new home, like cooking utensils or a stove or a washing machine or china or paintings or vases... Mainly decorations and kitchen stuff. Or people like close friends can maybe give an all-expenses paid voyage, but I don't think that one would fly on a ninja village... maybe Ino gives them coupons worth herself, Shika and Chouji as babysitters? XD

Just found that : "The Japanese bride-to-be may be painted pure white from head to toe, visibly declaring her maiden status to the gods." Body painting yay ! or maybe not, but still, something about the color of the kimono and the visibily not-virgin status of Sakura could be fun. ^o^

My wedding!fic suggestion: formal clothes fittings. Necessary regardless of western/japanese style wedding, guaranteed to be taken with ill grace by the boys, and Sakura likely won't be best pleased either, what with trying to figure out how to make something look good on her when she's however many months preggers.
