1) omg sasuke illustration at the start. *_________* omg sasuke being so friggin pissed. omg CRUSHING DANZOU TO PULP WITH HIS JUTSUTHING SHADOWHAND~ i'm kinda worried about the sidebar thing on the illustration "the second part of sasuke's revenge, huh. Considering how long the first took him...
Also appreciate the face he made when Danzou confirmed what Madara had told him on Itachi and the clan. pretty clear he hadn't 100% believed madara up to this point. (i also love that madara chose to manipulate him with the truth, if not the complete truth. so much better. X3)
2) hahaa karin. i'm both amused and disgruntled that she goes "eek" and hides and cowers, even if it's to emphasize how scary Sasuke's terrible (tm) jutsu is. nrgh useless cheerleader syndrome.
3) "what's with that arm, gross!" good to know the grossness and WTF of it is not invisible in-universe. XD That helps.
4) So let me summarize this chapter's konoha segment.
kakashi&yamato&sai: Oh, that silly Sakura, doesn't she know Sasuke is all haxx0red out and no one can possibly win against a powerful enemy using their brains like shikamaru did if they're willing to take the risk. women are too frail to take risks.
Naruto: ... sasuke.
kakashi&yamato&sai: Sakura is in Grave Danger. Notice the uppercases please.
Naruto: ... Sasuke doesn't know the truth and he's gone over to the enemy because he doesn't KNOW and...
kakashi&yamato&sai: How much danger is she in? a whole lot, really. We must save her from her own silliness.
Naruto: people want to kill Sasuke and I don't know how to save him from THEM and that's nothing but I don't know how to make him WANT to be saved and that's SO MUCH HARDER--
kakashi&yamato&sai: Let us bundle Naruto up like a fragile package, which he will surely hate the second he hears the plan, and then find poor Sakura and protect her from her own folly.
Naruto: *HYPERVENTILATES AND FAINS FROM FRETTING ABOUT SASUKE*
yeah um so... 1) Kakashi GET THE FUCK OUT OF SAKURA'S SPOTLIGHT I SWEAR TO GOD IF YOU INTERRUPT HER OR SHIELD HER BECAUSE SHE'S A SILLY DEFENSELESS GIRL I WILL CUT YOUR BALLS OFF.
2) anyone ever tells me again that naruto's love for sakura is true deep selfless and enduring and MORE POWERFUL THAN ANYTHING ELSE i will just... point at this chapter. and stare at them. for a very long time.
Naruto having romantic feelings for Sakura? Fact. Naruto having much stronger feelings for Sasuke? I don't see how you can talk your way out of this one.
I'm not saying he's in love with Sasuke. I'm saying his concern for Sasuke is 120% higher than his concern for Sakura, his other teammate and the girl he is supposedly in love with. Which is fine if they're just friends, but not if they're supposed to be the end pairing. After the previous chapter's "do you think if we repeat that she's in love with sasuke another three times it'll be clear enough? Wait, let's add it to the sidebar summary" I wasn't sure how you could still ague for narusaku canonization, but now that naruto himself has proved that he doesn't even notice the words "sakura could get killed" because he's so busy worrying about the guy she went to kill... dude. I'm even a little annoyed about what it means for their friendship. ~__~
Sorry for the narusaku rants recently, they're really cute together both in the manga and in fan stuff, but you wouldn't believe the harmony levels of denial and harebrained theories I've been seeing around recently. All that "we don't care if it shits on every other character as long as narusaku happens!" behavior really got my back up. For example there was a srs theory going around this week that naruto would give up on evilsasuke because he had to save his sakura-chan from him zomgsoromantic. fuck youuuuuuu. ~___~ team seven foreverrrrrrrr.
5) itachi omg ;.; yeah, break my heart harder, kishi. oh itachi and your little-brother-love. T^T
6) I really like how Danzou is evil for... really... behaving like an actual ninja. Goes to show what they call ninja is more of something that STARTED ninja-y but then evolved into a semi-samurai caste because those ideas of noble behavior and honor and "some things are above orders and rules"? not for ninja-ninjas. *... ponders geeky things about birth and evolution of the ninja system*

+ The stuff about Itachi
+ Sakura going "I love you!"
+ Sai saying "Let me translate. Everyone's voted Sasuke off the island. Sakura's gone to give him his notice. By killing him."
+ Gaara announcing that there's a freaking WAR over him
And almost all of it relates to Sasuke. Even the stuff about the war since they all believe he's fighting on the enemy's side. I think that's reason to make anyone just about explode :\
#7: Since that line was said when Sasuke and Itachi fought, I've got this image of Danzou thinking "See? I'm a real Uchiha now! I say the right lines and everything! I've got Sharingan up the ass! Why won't you accept me?"
