I'm working on the Teamwork Suna sidefic at the moment. I needed them to be grumpy for the next scene, but of course Sasuke just had to be contrary.
And then he goes and gets into a teasing match with freaking KAKASHI. For the record I hate writing Kakashi. So now I'm all "argh is it ooc? It's ooc isn't it. Isn't it? No, even if they said it they wouldn't say it like that..." DX
Is there no end to the things you'd be ready to do just to thwart me, you little pest? Ah, if I didn't love you... XD;

"My old bones need the support," Kakashi replied. "More than a strapping young man like you does, right?"
Sasuke snorted, vaguely amused when Naruto predictably shuddered.
"Don't say 'strapping' with that voice! Yuck."
Kakashi's eye curved with deceptively harmless merriment. "But 'strapping' is a compliment."
Naruto flattened himself against the farthest wall to get as far from Kakashi as he could without leaving the room, the white of his eyes showing.
Sasuke tilted his head and inquire mildly, "He's a little young for you, isn't he?"

Aw! yeah, it's not like they're really saying anything in the clips, it's all pre-recorded catchphrases, but watching it without the sound would take something away from it. Woe. ;__;

As far as Sasuke was concerned (and Naruto and Sakura as well maybe), I noticed somewhat parallelism in their involvement of the story as in the manga. Sasuke turns up after a bunch of fights and stuff from Naruto and Sakura, then he disappears again. We see his major fight later.
Anyways, thanks for posting those vids. You scored the makers another fan. ^_^

Funny. Kind of a paradox where Sasuke's concerned. He's being contrary when the characters have to be grumpy for the scene? That's crazy. He's usually grumpy and pretty often contrary. In the case of the scene, he's gotta be one or the other. รด_o
(*after reading*) I don't know what your intent for the scene is, but that still sounded really good. But as for getting into the teasing match . . . that is a little odd. I take it that Kakashi retaliates to, "He's a little young for you, isn't he" line, right? Maybe right after that, Sasuke could be thinking along the lines of "Oh for God's sake, I'm not going to play this game," or something. Then, saying out loud, "What do you want, Kakashi?" And if Kakashi persists, that could add to Sasuke's low tolerance for annoyance.
Then again, I don't know the whole context of the scene. Did Naruto and Sasuke just walk in the room and Kakashi was there? Or were they already sleeping and woke up to find Kakashi in bed with them? (EWW!! I hope not! XP)

Well, this time I NEED him to be grumpy, so he decides to make his teammates laugh by being a snarky brat instead. GO FIGURE.
They just entered the hotel room and are trying to decide who sleeps where. There's only one bed. Naruto was all set to nobly offer it to Sakura but Sakura is all "is it because I'm a GIRL?" so Kakashi steals it to end the argument.
Kakashi doesn't retaliate right away. In fact his next line is "... Sasuke." *pause* "Sasuke." Because this Kakashi sees nothing wrong with breaking naruto's mind by faking hitting on him, but he absolutely does not want to hear anything pertaining to real and actual bedroom activities between his kids. So Sasuke takes advantage of that to break his mind right back. >.> (note, he doesn't actually say anything, just something like "I thought you didn't want to hear about--" and Kakashi is very fast in cutting off the discussion right there.
Problem is that I'm not sure even that much is justified properly. needs rewrite. Woe.

.. I could actually see Kakashi and Sasuke ganging up on Naruto like that, if Sasuke was in the right mood. Mostly because it's incredibly hilarious to mess with Naruto's head. But yeah, I can't see it going very far, and I can see Sasuke maybe getting slightly possessive with that last part you have there. Sasuke's always the possessive type. XD
