I LOVE the way this looks. As always, Asuka, you rock. Re the last pic of team seven as kitsune though... I thought the number of tails increased with age, not with power. In that case, couldn't Sakura feasibly have more than Sasuke since the power levels come with age as do the number of tails, and she's the oldest of the three? (By that theory though, Kyuubi should also be a cream/white celestial ;P )

Age and power are very closely related for a kitsune in legends. But hey, some have natural advantages, so Sasuke gets to have more tails. Usually the lapse of time between two tails can probably be measured in years or even centuries, I doubt a few months would change much.

As for Kyuubi, there are LOTS of different legends, and not all of them have the same hierarchy of power, so ehh. I go with whatever looks pretty.

Actually, while the "cream/white celestial" would be appropriate for a tenko (literally "heaven fox", the traditional nine-tailed kitsune), the Kyuubi from Naruto is explicitly referred to as "Kyuubi no Youko" - where "you" is the same as in "youma" or "youkai"; that's the phrase which is translated as "nine-tailed demon fox". He is thus specifically *not* a tenko.

Perhaps interestingly, according to edict that same "you" as a single element can mean any or all of "attractive", "bewitching", and "calamity". Obviously the last is the common interpretation in the "demonic" translation, and the one being applied for Kyuubi in most cases, but the others might apply as well...

Interesting. I have this little idea of them being caught in some kind of genjutsu, mentally linked together, and left in a coma (as far as everyone outside their mind are concerned, at least). No idea what should happen in their minds though. Some weird, screwed up world where they would have to do odd stuff for no apparent reason, maybe. Dreams never really are bound by sense, after all. Go there, dig there, find underground cavern, look at cave-paintings, go elsewhere, cuddle or bounce around, or whatever. I dunno.

The interesting thing would probably be how they adapt to being Kitsune though. (And Naruto getting sexually frustrated due to size-differences). Time could also be somewhat flexible, allowing them to spend anything from weeks to years there, before rescue comes in the form of Ino using Yamanaka-fu or something similar. Another amusing bit would be if she also turned into a Kitsune upon entry. Sakura would already have a bond to a Kitsune (assuming it takes place in Teamwork universe), and Sasuke wouldn't be all that surprised, I imagine. Ino, however, would likely be completely blindsided. Cue panic, desperation, adaptation, awe, lulz or whatever.

I had more ideas when I started writing this, but I lost them due to sleepiness. Slight deliriousness does that to you. No idea if this really made any sense, but I know I would love to read it if someone really does write it...
