15 years before the start of the story there was an EVIL sorcerer, who was gratuitiously violent, megalomaniac to a boggling point, and super horny. ... Here, i'll just get you a badly context'd quote.

D.S: hah, nothing can make EVERYONE happy! But my way at least HALF of humanity will be happy!

D.S: WHEN I CONQUER THE WORLD, ALL WOMEN WILL BE IN MY HAREM, AND THERE IS NO GREATER PLEASURE IN THE UNIVERSE THAN TO SLEEP WITH ME!!
And he is totally serious.
I still sporfle when I think about it.
Anyway so there's that guy and his four friends, one old mage type, one big burly shounen retard ninja, and his two adopted children, Arshes Ney the half-dark-elf woman who is desperately in love with him, and Kall Su the ice mage whose father might have been an ice dragon, we don't know.
DS found Ney as a kid on a battlefield where she'd been abandoned beause she was a bastard of human and dark elf, and then he was just *picks up kid* "Now you're mine." And then he found Kall Su as a teenager after Kall Su was drifting around the countryside thinking about killing himself (he thought he had no purpose in life and was a monster. Poor Kall ended up killing his own mother out of self-defense. ;_;) DS's solution? "Now you're mine. You have a purpose. My purpose."
Sure, DS is still vulgar, and he's clinically unable to tell them he LOVES them or even notice it, he sees everything in terms of ownership and what he owns he doesn't let go of, but they're fiercely faithful to him right back.
Then DS faces off against a group of heroes and gets killed.
The story starts 15 years later, with Yoko, the daughter of the high priest (one of the heroes), and her adoptive brother Rushie. Rushie is a cute kid who looks 12 but is actually 14. He's sweet, shy, innocent, loves doing laundry, and doesn't have one aggressive bone in his body. And he's in love with Yoko.
Turns out the evil Dark Schneider was sealed into his body, and when DS's four old friend decide to continue his dream of conquest in his name and attack the kingdom, Yoko is told that she has to free DS so he can fight to defend the kingdom, because they have no other solution.
DS really wants to turn on the kingdom people and ravage their women -- the problem being that now he shares his soul with Rushie, and what Rushie loves, he loves, and so he's in love with Yoko too.
(Yoko loves Rushie, but she can't help but be deeply troubled by DS's charisma. Of course DS tries to win her over, but he keeps sabotaging himself by being a huge pervert. Alas. >D)
Eventually, DS ends up on the wrong side of the battlefield from his old protégés, who of course feel betrayed, and then there's glorious angst and ahhhh. Sopretty. *__*
Also there's lots of sex. >.>
That's only the first arc. The author has a clinical disability about finishing arcs. The first one's a classical heroic-fantasy story, the second one's the same (and then there's Kall Su eeeeeee)... up until the angels pop up, and then it becomes angels VS humanity! AND THEN angels VS demons VS DS who's on his own side! ... and the better his art gets, the more nothing the fuck happens in the mangas, and the longer it takes him to get it the hell out. Also he has a bad tendency to put his characters into bad situations and then go "AND NOW WE WILL TIMESKIP TWO YEARS LATER I SWEAR I WILL HAVE A FLASHBACK NOW LOOK AT MY BRAND NEW CAST OF CHARACTERS" and he never goes around to that fucking flashback and timeskips AGAIN auuugh.
But I still love the first 14 books to death. *__*
But it should tell you something that I can't summarize 14 to 24 as anything but "epic fights are epic. Also, angel women have huge boobies."

Must be fun to play, though... to take the characters and develop the story lines the author didn't write. :)

List of main-or-secondary-characters DS sleeps with in or wants to sleep with the series:
-Arshes Ney (his adoptive daughter. Thankfully only when she's got boobs and stuff. XD)
-Sheela (the pure-hearted princess of the kingdom.)
-Sean/Shin (one of Arshes' underlings. Earnest but easily seduced)
-Kay Han (one of Arshes' underlings. She kinda comes off as a man-hating dyke with a crush on Sean, but DS is just that good. u.u-b)
-Archangel Michael...
-others.
Of all the named and relevant female characters, the only ones he didn't do were one of Kall's Generals (who I think he never met, and was after Kall Su anyway), the other female archangel (cute, bubbly and innocent Gabriel ... or did he? -- wait, he tied her up and groped her once) Uriel's sister (who Uriel had a weird sister complex for and who DS met just in time to watch her get killed) ... and Yoko. (...but man, he wishes.)
People DS should do:
-Kall Su. u.u I know he's a guy and DS loves the ladies, but he's so intensely possessive and Kall is so intensely devoted, and they have such awesome suspiciously gay moments... *__*
Oh yeah, another awesome thing? It's got about just as much times DS gets naked as times when his girls get naked. if not more. he's a freaking exhibitionist, I swear. Had to invent a freaking spell to pull clothes out of thin air cause he keeps ending up naked. Oh DS. X3
... I severely want to RP Kall Su at times. Or even Ney.
