I haven't been getting email notifications for like 4 months now.

that must be a problem with your provider then, or maybe a setting that was reverted back then, because I haven't heard of any problemthat would have lasted that long. O__o

Another user on my flist uses hotmail and isn't getting notifications. Though, I guess it could be general lj screwing up notifications again.Wish it wasn't that feature :(

Nrrrgh. I saw a comment that mentioned it might be because hotmail added LJ back onto its spammers list. If that's it, WTF MY ALERTS ASSHOLES. I EVEN PUT IT ON THE SAFE LIST. *rages* I don't know where to check that out, though. ~_~

Wtf? LJ is a pretty big site, so you wonder what hotmail is thinking. I got this comment (with Gmail), so... um, must be hotmail? Go to the help section maybe?

They should target the penis spammers. I see a conspiracy, obviously. :P

I didn't get any a couple of days ago. And they still haven't arrived. But I've gotten new ones since yesterday. So... I don't know. Very WTF.

Yeah, me too. I didn't receive any for a day, then I started getting them again for my huge post of d00m, and now nothing once again. I haven't gotten a single alert for this post. ~__~

... and the reason I didn't reply, is BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T SEND ME A NOTIFICATION.

no, when the problem is large enough they just destroy anything that comes from the service provider. LJ comments -- there are definitely enough of them for that. But... hrrm. It might also be LJ trying to say it's them bcause they really don't know why and people want answers.

Hotmail recently implimented a whole new block spam filter. They have blocked and astounding amount of sites and email servers.

One of the articles on it is Here (http://www.news.com/2100-1040-232706.html") so eyes... lots of hotmail wank on the internets right now.

From what I understand, it's a Hotmail issue. I know they've been screwing around with a lot of weird things.

It's several different email carriers. Because of the volume of emails people get from Livejournal, they've got it marked down as a spam site and blocked it.

It's a hotmail and ISP issue.

*raises hand* YES. And I've checked all the settings and sent my irate letter to LJ, but still, no notifications.

I use DBZmail.com, and I've been getting my email alerts, so it may very well be that LJ and Hotmail are having a tiff of some sort. Good luck with that.
