Anyone knows more code for weird symbols? Apart from & hearts ; ♥ . I still don't know how to make > signs, for example, and yet I seem to remember they're exceedingly simple. ^^;

Sadly, when you get to the cool stuff some fonts wimp out. Unicode 26a7 would be the ideal orgy symbol (it's commonly used for transgender) but the default font for LJ doesn't support it. _☹ (and if that's a box, :( )

If you use the HTML entity &amp; you can post entities without adding in spaces or worrying about them being interpreted by accident.

As another note, there are a few groups online who feel that the emoticon you posted "belongs" to them, and if you overuse or misuse it someone might get offended. It's kind of like how Japanese computer nerds get upset if you use memes like "DQN" outside of futaba.
