-What's with all the bad news on my friendslist yesterday. *stares at date >_>* Damn it, people. *worry worry* ;____;

-The self-destruction was pretty previsible. Deidara was too proud to just run away, and Kishi doesn't want to make Sasuke kill people. Still, the way it happened... *__* Mouth over the heart!! WTF Deidara. X333

-Ahaha, Sasuke still trying to be cool and badass even when he can't even stand anymore. XD And he has a "I didn't have to use... THAT JUTSU" moment too. How many tricks do you have in your godmodey pockets, hon. Maybe it's the power of THE PURPLE ROPE. XD

... Sasuke wasn't as pretty as usual in quite a few panels. Or maybe that was the cleaning job... He had that drugged-up stupid staring look... ew. ;_; Still, hurt-bruised-bleeding-tired = AUTOMATIC SEXY.

Deidara... Faithful to himself, his goals and his view of life to the end. Good character. Fitting end. T____T (though Sasuke better end up hurt from the last explosion because otherwise, HN. That would be cheap.)

I don't care how far enough they are. If none of the Konoha nins NOTICE the explosion, I shall be Annoyed. >_>

I don't really like Grimmjow's current design -- it's frail and birdlike. I saw him more of a big cat. Ehh. Still, kickass. But the fight is a little boring -- also, of course, following the law of Shounen Fighting, Orihime is allowed to do nothing but watch and cheer. bleh. Ulquiorra should pop up and rekidnap her while Ichigo is busy measuring his dick against Grimmjow's. >.>

Still, apart from the fights that last too long, I like this arc well enough. It's nice to see that using his Hollow powers too much seems to make Ichigo become a darker, not as sympathetic person. and EEEEEEE for him being all "oh right, I forgot, Orihime doesn't want me to get hurt. I guess I'll just go and win the fight quickly then :D" nnnghsocute. *_* Also in line with Ichigo's habit of being stronger when he fights for other people than when he fights for himself.

*still hoping for a RukiaOrihimeIchigo threesome* .__. They all have bits that make me go "ooohh." ... But then there's Renji, and Ishida, and Tatsuki, and and and AHHH they all should have an orgy. I really can't OTP anything in that fandom.

I haven't read Bleach since January, you're making me want to read it again. ;_;

It's definitely better to read it in big chunks, because when a fight starts, it LASTS. It's a lot better to read them all at once; it doesn't feel like it drags on. >.> Also there are some pretty HEE moments about characterisation and stuff.

... Like when something happened to Rukia, and Orihime went NOOOOO, it was s-socute ;_; (SEE YOU BUNCH OF RETARDED SHIPPER THEY'RE FRIENDS FRIENDS FRIENDS ARGH -- ahem sorry)

... But yeah, definitely advising you to catch up in batches, because these last weeks we're in the middle of a "fight-fight-fight" sequence and that's rather yawn-worthy sometimes.

Rukia/Orihime I really can't see them like that, mostly because the guys in their lives are so important to them. Ahh~ I can't OTP/OT3 anything in the fandom either and I usually whore out my favourite characters.

But they've had such cute friendshippy moments recently ;_; at the very least they would actually not go to war against each other for Ichigo. Hell, in one of the first chapters Orihime was all "yeah, if we go two against one we'll outnumber him and win" and it was socute and I want it to be foreshadowing damnit. XD

I'd be very happy if the manga ends with no solid couples, though. It's not one of these stories that really need it. ^^

Nah, Ichigo/Ishida or Ichigo/Renji/Rukia are the ways ta go. Hm, maybe Ichigo/Ishida/Renji/Rukia/Orihime...

I can't see Ichigo/Ishida at all. Maybe in the arc where Ishida was introduced, but since then I can't remember any meaningful interaction. ;_; Ichigo/renji/rukia, yeah, I can see shinies from all three sides. XD

The good news is with a 10km explosion you can be sure everyone from konoha will be there in a flash along with team hebi. Wonder if kishi will have sakura heal up sasuke >.>

D20 cyberpunk homebrew FTW!

Well, the last time Deidara did his explodey technique (or, his clone did at least) he survived by hiding under the ground. Sasuke could do something similar. And since its a taijutsu manuever (or at least, it USED to be) he should be able to pull it off without using any chakra.

Side rant-- they keep killing off Akatsuki without telling us anything about them. Okay, we got some of Dei's background, but not the all important piece of information: Where did those crazy hands come from? Bloodline? Mutation? Seriously, what's with that stuff (I feel the same way about Hidan and Mr. Heart Eater).

Side speculation-- The way things are going, if I was the leader, I'd approach Sasuke and apologize for his subordinates. I'd tell him I understand the need for revenge, but at the moment Itachi is needed so that the goals of the Akatsuki can be met. However, they are very close to achieving those ends, and Itachi has discussed the matter and has agreed to face you once he has played his part for Akatsuki. There is a condition, of course, a key component to our end designs that we have had a disturbing amount of trouble aquiring. Perhaps your team would have better luck. Deliver a particular jinchuuriki to us and your brother is all yours. I believe you know him...

Can someone explain the bleach craze to me? I've tried to watch it before...eh. It doesn't seem like a bad anime, just not a particularly good one either. Why does it grab so many people?

My experience with Bleach was:

eps 1-near 20: Meh... but my friend is eager, so I'll make an effort.
20 to 62: AWESOME!!! I freaking breathed Bleach during that summer. really. it's fantastic.

After that I started on the manga and it goes:

--- WHOA GOOOD!
then.... déjà vu.... and then it became a let-down and I stopped reading, only occasionally checking because Ulquiorra tickles my fancy.

Hope it helps. I reaaally encourage you to see ther anime up until the end of the soul society arc. Never mind the first episodes, when they get to soul society you'll be hooked. XD

Yeah but an explosion like that? It's going to leave a CRATER. Sasuke would have to dig damn deep, and exhausted like he is...

Sadly Sasuke is so stubborn and impatient, like he'd care about anyone else's convenience. Also he already spared Naruto once, and after so long with Oro I think anyone attempting to manipulate him would get a knee-jerk "NO. >( *digs in heels*".

The first twenty episodes are setup. There were a few moments I loved, like Orihime's first time using her powers which I found very emotionally powerful (also it's so rare to see a real supportive girl/girl friendship in shounen), and Ichigo's first time saying his sword's name. Once the Soul Society arc starts, you get tons of shiny, original new characters with intricate relationships, and the intrigue is well-done, with false tracks and unveiling of people's pasts and stuff.

But yes, he does tend to recycle his plotlines a bit. u__u;;; Also the fights can get so goddamn LONG. x__x

I have to agree with the automatic sexy of Sasuke, even though he is ugly in a few panels.

Kamikaze!Deidara = love!! <3 (But only because he's a comic ninja. else no love. this view comes with being American. ._. )

The whole thing is like, "DAMN WHY WON'T EITHER OF THESE GUYS DIE!!" which is classic, and damn am I glad Kishi brought that back after what he did to Yugito and the yonbi. It causes a bit of "WTFLMAO", but that's a neccessary sacrifice!

...and then, yessssss, since Sakura's the closest, she comes and is all *healyhealy* and brings him from the brink of death and he's like "omg sakura? when did you learn that?" and she doesn't answer and instead clubs him over the head, intending to drag him back by the hair caveman style, but then tobi and karin show up and awkward face off and then then then...!

Yeah, Orihime has romantic feelings but she hasn't openly done anything with it; the rest is all platonic friendship and "nakama"-ness.

Orihime toward Ichigo, Tatsuki toward Orihime, Chizuru toward anything with boobs.... :D There doesn't seem to be any real strong romantic vibes going on and what few there are are all smothered in nakamaship and muted. At least for me.

Well, except for Ikkaku and Yumichika, those two are just flat out married. ;D

Karin/Chad had me hooked from the moment Chad passed out in their clinic. I'm pretty *meh* to *ugh* on the dub (the casting on most of the shinigami.... *cries*) but Karin's calling him "mister giant" in that scene killed me.

I hope AT LEAST ONE of the Konoha nin notices the explosion-- or maybe even is affected buy it, since it affects up to 10 kilometers.

Juugo is still in the forest (at least last we saw him), so I think if anyone will pop up to save Sasuke, it'll probably be him.
