Oh man. I was about 14 and imagining stories with suspiciously intense male friendships, but I didn't really dare to think any deeper, and then I read a magazine with an article on a big con in Japan. There was a tiny, tiny Goku/Vegeta picture.
I NEVER LOOKED BACK. >O
By the time I returned the magazine I could draw that picture without a reference. XD;
6. Does your family know you are one?
My brothers do; Julien jokes with me about slashy anime guys sometimes. Emeric is "ew" about it, but he doesn't really care much.

7. Do you still remember which fic converted you?
I was converted before I even knew what fanfics were, but yes, I remember the first yaoi fanfic I ever read. It was a Hiei/Kurama (Bloom?) and I spent about three days painstakingly translating it with my trusty pocket dictionary. (it was also the fic where I realized they mentioned roosters suspiciously often and either they had a serious poultry fetish or there were words my teacher had never taught me. >_> )

10. Why do you write slash fics?
Because I love the characters and the way they interact. They have awesome chemistry.

Ayup. Before and after I discovered slash.
12. What do you think of your original fics?
there were a few shiny bits in the first ones, but they were still classical sucky Mary-Sue stories. XD; I like the Mermaids in Space story, but I'm not sure I can do it justice. I suck at fast-paced action.
13. What do your friends think of your original fics?
I know Saro likes the Mermaids story, but then she likes anything with mermaids, so ehh. ♥
14. Do you write chaptered fics or one-shots better?
Chaptered.
15. Why?
'cause I've got a bad case of verbal diarrhea. Also my brain likes to throw a bazilion "what if" and "what next" at me, so it's rare when all of my ideas on a topic fit into a single scene.
16. What is the greatest obstacle you faced when you write original fics?
I tend to lean toward certain archetypes that are already in use by canon characters, so it's a bit hard to show the differences between, say, Blue and Sasuke when they're both antisocial bastards with short, messy dark hair. (the differences? Blue has a sense of humor. XD And he's naturally the quiet-watcher type, he's not a traumatized "back off!" type.)
17. Will you follow canon when you write fanfics?
As best as I can, though sometimes I discard a bit of it -- but I still want to know what I'm changing and why.
18. Do you like tragedies or comedies?
Comedies are easier to write and good for short fics, but I don't like slapstick and people being ridiculed all that much, so for long fics I'd rather have tragedy.
19. Can you accept crack fics?
Sure. As long as crack isn't used to mean random and unfunny.
20. Can you accept original characters?
Yes, if they fit with the universe they're written and aren't trying to tack on superawesome powers to hide their lack of actual character. Also, I'm wary of any OC who gets to have one of the main canon characters in love with them.
21. Do you like fluff?
Sometimes, in little doses.
22. Why?
It's cute and relaxing. But it's boring in too big doses because nothing important tends to happen.

For an amateur level, they're not bad ^^ Still not going pro with them, though.

I draw whenever I feel like it, and that's rather random, so I don't give estimates. Also I have no project in the wings right now.

I've toyed with the idea of submitting the Mermaids in Space, but it's in English and I'm in France, and then there's the fact i'm not sure I'd be able to deal with having my story torn apart because it's not good enough. *askared* I'm gonna have to work on it more, right now I don't have enough confidence in it.
32. What is the emotion/feeling you most want to convey through your writing?

I still can't wrap my mind around ItaSaku, but that doesn't mean I don't accept it. If people like it, find plausible plots for it, and find the chemistry interesting, they like it. I'm just not going to read or write it anytime soon. XD

I don't write when I'm forced. I lose my inspiration. If I was challenged, though... Hmm. I could write an okay SasuHina, I think, because I can sort of see what people like in that pairing. But man, would it have to be great blackmail. :| No secret bashing of the pairing, though, or deliberate OOC or bad writing. if I mess it up it will be because I suck at them, not because I sabotaged it. >.>

Sakura PUNCHES SASUKE IN THE FACE, they help him kill Itachi (though he's got to do it himself, I think, but he has not to do it for revenge. To save one of them, yes), he goes home, THEY MOLEST/HEAL HIM YAY.

The Sakura interaction.

Because when Naruto and Sasuke start arguing it's like the rest of the world stops existing. Thankfully PT-Sakura is more forceful and she would be able to thwap them to remind them she's here.

Nearly any scene with at least two of them.
Sasuke asking Naruto to save Sakura while he dies to protect them, because he can't stand losing another precious person ever again.
Sandaime's funeral, where Sasuke passes between Sakura and Naruto without a word, and then stops to wait for them without turning back, and they run to catch up with him.
The whole hospital episode.
Sasuke emoing with the picture of Team Seven before he decides to leave.

I have the same problem. i've only found two spanish authors i can read without cringing (and i was lucky, cos their smut is fucking hawt), and seeing as my standards are ridiculously high (i mean, for someone who isn't even a writer herself), i don't think i'll find a third one any time soon. i don't feel like wading through all the shit fic to find the gems.

Many years ago when I first went looking for that pairing in ff.net, Teamwork was one of the first fics I found, and I still re-read it from time to time. And of course go to see if there is more >_>.
You said many interesting things in this meme too. I haven't read much fanfiction in my own language either, thought I suppose it's mostly because I've never tried to even find it (vaguely thought it wouldn't be worth it, but who knows). I wonder how many people actually do that?

I think it's easier to read pervy stuff in other languages because they lack the immediate emotional connection -- even if you KNOW a word is supposed to be dirty, silly or shocking, you don't really feel it, and so when you've never read sex scenes before they're easier to stomach. That might be one of the reasons... *ponders* (that and there are more fics in english, and more readers if you decide to write your own. XD)
