My third mouse of the year is DYING AGAIN WTF (okay, shouldn't have bought the cheap one, I guess). No more pics for a while, because I can't color with a mouse that refuses to do curves and keeps hiccuping at random. But it still works okay-ish so far for the rest, so...

I've been looking to get myself a tablet. Because mouses =/= best coloring possible. And I really really want to learn to paint on the computer instead of adding some color to my sketches. I want to learn to do landscapes and clouds and hair with a bazilion strands and stuff like that, instead of my more usual quick cell-shading and quicker fuzzy brushes.

So tablets are good, yeah. But argh omg I'd forgotten how expensive they are. x_x

I'm not pulling a Cassandra Claire on you people. u.u;;;; I'm not asking anyone to buy me one, what the hell no, if anyone was crazy enough to do that I'd send it right back because it really is that goddamn expensive and I don't want anyone to spend a buck on me. DD: (well, okay, I don't mind people adding a month or two to my LJ account, but that's it. XD) Really, I would like one, but I don't want it THAT much. But if, say, you just brought yourself a new tablet, and you've got this old one that works sort of okay but it's too tiny or just not as cool or whatever, I'll... er. Draw a picture for you? two pictures, even. *throws in a couple of chubby chibis* ... we can negotiate? ;.;

(XD; but fair warning -- I'd try my best but there are things that I just can't draw, so no guarantees that you wouldn't have to ask for another theme/subject/angle/whatever.)

... okay, the offer kinda sucks. XD;; But it's really the best I can come up with, what with being unemployed and all that. And it's pretty unlikely that someone will have a working tablet just kind of hanging around, but hey. Doesn't hurt to ask, I guess. XD; And if no one does, it's alright too, promise. I really don't need one zomg!, it would just be nice to have one, is all. ^__^


To clarify -- I'm not asking for a free tablet, I'm really not that entitled. I'm looking for someone willing to trade a tablet with a couple of art commissions. I really don't know how much my art's worth, but I seriously doubt it would go for 100$ apiece, is all. XD

..... ça dépend de l'ordi que tu as . J'ai une vieille vieillllle tablette dans mon armoire (genre le truc d'avant la magnifique découverte du port usb) mais si ça te rebute pas, elle est à toi .

100$ is way too much money. Wait and buy one on sale- I got mine for about half that, and photoshop with it.(though given it's ass-tiny. But you can get around that for not too bad.) Though that was at Circuit City, which generally has better prices, but might not exist in your area?

Unfortunately, the only person I know who owns a tablet is getting a new one because the one she has is three years old, and is dying in fits. We plan to bury it in a box next to my old mouse. Sorry, milady.

Well, I've got an old tablet that I can't use with my laptop because it's normal tablet and my laptop is widescreen. So if you'd be interested, I can hook you up. It's your typical Wacom tablet, 4x5 or whatever size that is. I'd have to go dig the pen out of my stuff because it didn't make it out after I moved, but everything's in good shape still. It was my only mouse for about 6 months, but I wasn't rough on it, and last time I tried it (right before I moved) it worked perfectly.

Depends on the size and the quality, but at least 80€ for one as high as my palm, and a big one can climb up to 250 or more.

Heh. Thought about it, but I don't have paypal or any other way to receive money online, and I'm way too lazy to do more than a couple of art pieces in a row. XD;;;

Aw, I can't help out then. ^^ Paypal's easy, but I can definitely understand not wanting to do a lot of commissions.

I'd suggest getting a Mac computer since you're an artist. Mac computers generally have better graphics and are much easier to use when doing art projects.

Personally I love Adobe Illustrator, PhotoShop and ImageReady.


FYI: American money is normally written with the dollar symbol before the dollar amount like $100 not 100$. I don't know why though.

*cough* if I don't have the money to buy myself a tablet, I'm not sure where I would find the money to buy myself a mac. XD Also, macs suck I've always had PCs and really don't want to relearn everything. My cousin's mac aggravates me deeply, and besides, they're really only superior with graphics. So eh.

J'en ai une dont je ne me sers pas (on n'était pas copine alors je n'ai pas persévéré). Elle doit avoir 3 ou 4 ans mais je ne l'ai quasiment pas utilisée. Wacom, USB, A5 (A6 ... ? format carte postale ou un peu plus petite, bref), stylet qui fonctionne ... Hum ... J'ai plus le CD d'installation ... *branche la tablette* Ah, elle a pas besoin de CD. *teste un moment* Ouais, je suis vraiment pas l'amie des tablettes ... Si tu la veux :/
