They are good up through 135. Episodes 97, 101-106, and everything from 136 onward are filler, but everything else is canon and good.

I was actually kinda frightened by the creepy armor dudes and the picture where precious little Naruto's all o.O and then O__________O.

But, omfg, the tentacles. I srsly had a minor fit. And since when is Naruto a coward?

yeah, the atmosphere was kind of creepy sometimes, too bad they wasted it with shitty art (PROPORTIONS, ASSHOLES) and blah movements.

"filler" episodes are what happens when the anime catches up on the manga it's working off and they have to invent stuff that isn't in the original manga until the manga is far ahead enough once again. The Naruto filler eps are from episode 136 to the latest episode, which means over 70 episodes of sucky, out of character crap, because they're not allowed to write stuff that might actually have a real influence on the plot (you never know, they might contradict what happens in the manga badly enough that it wouldn't work anymore.) The problem is that the people in charge of inventing the naruto filler episodes 1) aren't that up to date on what can really work in the naruto universe, and 2) are running out of ideas fast. (really, they ran out of good ideas ages ago. Now they're reaching the "hey, what if there were culinary ninjas! and they could kidnap the girl from the ramen stand and blackmail her daddy into having a food duel with them! and naruto could help! THAT WOULD BE AWESOME." level of sucky.)

So the latest naruto anime episode had naruto, kiba and hinata running around a haunted castle, and at some point there was a tentacle monster. And it broke my brain.

I just saw that chapter and I didn't saw those tentacles try to rape their asses... I know Naruto is not a coward but he sometimes acts like an idiot, and childish, and he is just being childish as usual. I didn't saw anything wrong with this chapter, except that is not like what they used to be :(

I miss Sasuke!!!! I miss real action!!!
