I r teh back. Surprisingly, did have fun. :O But that's probably because it was only two days. Two weeks without the internet, without even village nearby, and nothing to do but take walks and swim? i'll DIE.

Since i'm still feeling chatty... Same thing as previous post; Ask me questions about my fics. Ask characters from my fics random stuff. Ask about what happened to this or that fic I was writing or talking about ages ago. Pimp goodfic to me. Talk to me about fandom stuff. Give suggestions on polls I should make. SPAM ME BABY.

In other news, why is it so hot damn it. it's 90 degrees F in the dining room and that's at ten PM; night is well on its way. I don't even want to know how hot it is in my bedroom, with the computer on. I just know it's going to get a lot worse before summer's done and over with. x_x

Most of it won't be from things you follow, of course, or even neccessarily from anything you've heard of, but there's a lot of recs in there and the odds should be rather better than groveling through the Pit of Voles by hand.

Teamwork Kakashi - does he have an opinion on the fact that his students are together and one of them is (perhaps dangerously) pregnant? And does he have to deal with some of the other opinions of this arrangment floating around?

Long ago you mentioned you wanted to write about blood, and darkness, and cats, and ItaSasu. I believe that was the first post in your journal under which I commented non-anonymously. Did that thing die?

Not nearly as long ago, you were turning one of your roleplays with Saro- the one with waitress!SNJ!Sasuke- into a fic. Personally I don't know why you bothered because I find the roleplay format in many ways MORE enjoyable than fic format, since the way it gives two POVS in close alternation shows off both character mindsets so nicely- but anyways, what happened to that one?

Summer heat sucks, especially with global warming these days. The weather's been ruthlessly hot here too. Good thing I only live with my mom and can sit in front of my computer in my underwear.

Hm. There is something I'd like to ask you, what do you think is the best way for character development. Me starting a Naruto RP here and all, it'd be insightful to get your...well...insights. lol.

He's trying very hard not to have any opinion beyond the professional one because he's scared as hell of getting too attached. Too late, but hey. He's got interesting blind spots. XD (but then he knows that if their relationship fails, the teamwork will fail too, and vice versa, so really he's just pretending not to really care about the "are my kids happy" part of the equation) As long as they can function as a team, he'll keep quiet about it. Likewise, he won't allow people he knows to say negative things related to their professional abilities. XD But if they think it's morally wrong, well, they have a right to have their opinion... and he has a right not to listen to it. He'll just shrug and then put that person on the "yeah, whatever" list, and unless he has to hang around them, they won't be seeing much of him anymore. Most of the people he hangs out with because he wants to, like Asuma and Genma and Kurenai, have seen it all and won't care much beyond a few "huh, really" comments anyway. (dunno if you remember, i already wrote a kakashi and asuma ficlet a few ages ago :p)

As for the pregnant thing, he's concerned about her health and intends on preventing her from fighting as soon as it gets dangerous for her, but so long as she can move around, he's not going to protest. Ninjas all have to take risks and make sacrifices. ('course if she shows signs of being possessed, he'll do the right thing for Konoha. He's gonna wait until they're damn good signs, though)

One day we'll have to have a big huge post where everyone will contribute a Sasuke definition.

Lots of times, the important really isn't what he does or says, so much as what he doesn't. ♥ awww.

What are your views on KakashiSakura? KakaSasuSakuNaru (or, whatever)? *sorry, I was watching your icon*

I'm editing it as a fic because lots of people won't read roleplays, because lots of sits don't allow script and chat formats, because it's a good exercise in POVs and allows me to fluff out lots of details that were missing, and because I want to write ItaSasu but it's damn hard to find a plot and when I find one, we end up RPing it first. I was still going to write it (or something like it) as a fic. Probably. XD It's still being edited, slowly. I'm lazy and it's long and I've hit a harder part to rewrite, so i'm taking my time.

hah, so totally sitting in my underwear too. x___x my window is wide open, it's so great that there's nothing but trees and a road facing my building. No wind, though. T_T

Uhhh. I really don't know how to answer your first question. I don't know anything about textbook ways or whatever -- I just write it, I don't analyze that part of my writing all that much. o_o;; I just notice when the action has brought the character sufficiently forward that their emotions should also shift to accomodate. Then i decide where I should give a scene for this emotion or that relationship to evolve. Then the emotions affect what they do, which affects what they feel, which... ehh. there's no secret formula. I just write? ^^;
(the best thing is not to go too fast. The characters can't have epiphanies all the time, and it's not fun when they start already enlightened; no conflict to resolve = dull and boring "action")

Sasuke is actually ambivalent about this. On one side he wants everything that can give his clan an advantage, but on the other side he's all "MY clan! Grr." and it would bug him to see Uchihas with Naruto traits.

That's assuming that the mix produces flawless results, without also giving the flaws with the advantages, or provoking problems because of various incompatibilities.

The Hyuuga are a bunch of voyeurs anyway, and he doesn't give a shit who sees. They'll just think he won't be the first clan member who keeps male lovers on the side, and good luck if they try blackmailing him with it.

um. ^__^;; I've read one KakaSaku fic that's really really good. But in general, my kneejerk reaction to KakashixAny of his students is ARGH EURGH NO GET AWAY.

I can deal with KakaSasu because Sasuke is broken and Kakashi is broken and it would be dysfunctional, so the teacher/student aspect would only be one more stone in the pile of fuckedupness. (fluffy kakasasu = WTF) I can't even see KakashiNaruto because Kakashi doesn't notice Naruto that much, and when he does he ends upo assuming that naruto is the one of his kids who can deal without him the best. If kakashi's gay he'll notice Sasuke first, he's a lot more obsessed with him, and if he's straight he'll probably go for Sakura.

Sadly most of the KakaSaku out here seems to be of the Sakura-slut-sue variety, and don't give a damn about ethics and the age difference and the fact that Kakashi was a lot more concentrated on the boys and not her. They also tend to totally forget about naruto and sasuke's places and that makes me go WTF a lot.

As for a foursome, I could see the kids seducing Kakashi because he's lonely and they're a team and he's part of that, but i'm not sure he would let himself accept it so easily. (if the fic has kakashi actively trying to get with his students, and not being seduced/tricked into bed by them, I tend to go with EURGH anyway.)

The two parts are from the same fic. said fic has been stalled until I find a scenario. Because I kind of still don't have one. XD;;; Also, i'm not all that deep in the Avatar fandom, so I don't feel the urge to write them often.

How did you meet Naruto? (I am assuming that Naruto and Iruka have met since I cannot imagine a Naruto AU where they haven't.)

Actually, if I recall correctly, we only know how Sasuke and Sakura met Naruto so I shall extend the same question to anyone that wants to answer it. :)

In looking back at Teamwork from your current perspective (having a better grasp of characters, overall plot, and challenges as an author), is there anything (scenes/characters) that you'd have written differently in the early stages of the series?

Anko. u_u;;;; Definitely Anko. I had reasons for the way she reacted and besides naruto and co were feeling very self-righteous about it, so if it was bashing, it was somewhat IC bashing at least, but then I didn't find anywhere to use her reasons and then I forgot. *sucks* Now I'm trying not to mention her at all for fear of reminding people that in the end it came out as full-out bashing and arch, hatehatehate.

I'm thinking that if I read the fic over there will be lots of things i'll want to rewrite, but i'm trying not to. XD;;

Tsunade is spoilery, yeah. ;p Naruto met Iruka... I don't have a clue. XD Iruka's probably there, but he isn't important enough at the moment.

I'm thinking Naruto doesn't know Kiba and Shino, it would be too closed-circles otherwise what with Kiba knowing Hinata.

He hasn't met Gaara yet. Not sure i'll do anything with him either, so it doesn't matter. Shika and Chouji were probably just guys he met at a bar and then they started chatting and it came out that they knew Ino who knew Sakura who was working with Tsunade.

About that NejiNaruSasu thing you posted on the other journal, how old are the guys? What's their rank? And are you planning to finish it?

Uhhhhh. They're about 18 to 22 and I really don't know any more about them. I still plan on finishing it if I find a way out of the corner i wrote myself into. If not, well... *shrug*
