Oh look! A rant!! Been a while, isn't it.

This is a review I got for the cyborg-suke chapter I just posted on FFnet yesterday:

ch 2, anon.

I like your story, but I hope that Naruto is not the guy in the relationship.

Since they couldn't be bothered to leave their email, this is the Author's Notes that goes on the next chapter:

Okay, who amongst you is not aware that Naruto and Sasuke are, like, TWO GUYS?

As in, there will be no "girl" in the relationship.

If you think that who takes it up the ass honestly matters, you're gonna be disappointed; there isn't going to be ANY lemon on FFnet. Like, NONE. And if you think that one of the two should be domestic and submissive to the other, you should stop reading this fic now and go read some good and cliche het, since you seem to like stereotypical big-strong-alpha x fragile-pretty-wifey so much. I'm writing about two strong, competent MEN who come with their own set of issues, problems, and personalities here, not one chest-beating He-Man and one breasts-less wimp with an oversized clit.

Seriously, you're allowed to have your preference when they're in bed, but if "who gets to stick it in the other one's pooper" changes their characterization and interaction so fucking much, they're probably OOC anyway.

And then people wonder why the rabid sasunaru side of the fandom almost scared me off the pairing entirely.

I have to remember Valley at the End to keep shipping them sometimes.

. . . Priceless. . . .

I require a pointy object and that persons address. >_<

*siiiiigh* Wimpy little girly OOC Draco's is what scared me off of the Harry/Draco pairing in HP fandom. (so far off infact that I did the best thing I could do for Draco and put him with two big burly boys that he's obviously capable of being dominant with - Draco/Greg/Vince love)

Incidentally, anyway, I don't care which ninja boy tops which other ninja boy - IT'S HOT NINJA BOYS IN BED! I'LL TAKE IT ANY WAY I CAN GET IT! @_@

And in my opinion? So will they.

I don't think it's possible for me to agree with this more. That kind of person honestly drives me crazy. I'm also starting to think that a big part of the Naruto yaoi fans are totally unfamiliar with the concept of a switch.

... exactly the kind of things that scared me away from most of the yaoi fandom.
Honestly, who really cares who tops ?... Mh, probably 15-year-olds who are afraid to lose their virginity.

Oh, that just makes you want to reach through the internet and smack them. They're both guys! And also, being the (physical) bottom does not make one a girl, or weak, or submissive! Some of the toppiest people out there enjoy getting fucked! That does not necessarily effect their character.

Argh! Uke =/= submissive =/= female!

Now me, I like my seme like I like my uke --reversible-- but that does not determine their characterisation.

Yech. Stupid people, off the internet, now!

You said it!
Someone should be hired to screen feedback and filter out the flames and ridiculous comments before they reach authors. Honestly.

That was a beautifully inspired rant.^^

Nor does lacking a penis entail submission. Just ask any feminist or henpecked husband.

I really love pushy bottoms myself...

I need to make a "who needs balls when you have ovaries" icon XD

Uuuugh, this sort of thing is what drives me nuts about SasuNaru fandom. *headdesk* I'm so glad there are people out there writing the two of them as passionate, demanding boys men to keep me into NaruSasu. Not that anything could completely turn me off it, given the canon.

YES, OMGYES.

It's like sometimes people don't think before engaging their mouths (or fingers). In real life, there are relationsips (both straight and gay) that switch off between dominant and submissive. It's the sign of a healthy relationship.

Of course, if you're writing fucked up naruto/sasuke, all the power to you. But if it's not?

go read some good and cliche het, since you seem to like stereotypical big-strong-alpha x fragile-pretty-wifey so much. Exactly.

Wordy mcwordsville yo.

(resists urge to lay down virtual smack on all braindead FFnet Narutards... only because I can't think of a way to do it, though...)

[identity profile] questofdreams.livejournal.com 2006-03-24 06:13 pm (UTC)(link)
*snickers* I am not fond of femmie ukes. NO NO NO. Especially with Naruto and Sasuke. Their fucking NINJAS for pity's sake!! GRR!!

In any case, there are enough pple of sound mind in this fandom to keep you company and chase off the scary fangirls, lol.

I love you~!!! (And yes...totally turned off to SasuNaru after the rabid amount of stupid on that side of the fandom.)

(Not that I avoid it completely. I just...only read it for certain authors.)
