So I managed to download all the eps I was missing. except ep fifteen. All the torrents I found of that one were ded ded ded. Bato of the water tribe? (haha, funny name. except a bit lame too. bateau = boat. ahaha, humor. *groans*) if anyone has it and can send it to me through yousendit or AIM or however they can, I'll love them forever and ever and ever. I can't watch the rest if I haven't seen this one yet. T_T
Also, i'm reallymorbidly curious about the dubbed Naruto eps. Anyone has one or knows where to find one? ;_;

*sighs* huh, crossover with naruto? Well you got the spirits and the elements and the physical skills... There's a huge emphasis on BALANCE in Avatar and since...like maybe the fifth episode I watched, I've been having a bad feeling about it.
Aang is the last airbender. The avatar cycle goes Air, Water, Earth, Fire and back to Air--but there are no more air benders. Where's the avatar going to go? Certainly something cataclymic would happen--like I don't know, benders loosing their powers in a cascade following the avatar's death in each nation? Nine giant elemental beasties running around terrorizing everyone? Yeah that sounds about right. boom crossover.

Yeah, the "last airbender" thing is going to be really problematic, unless he restarts his tribe ASAP. which means the next cycle the avatar will be one of his grandkids or something. (which also means katara better not be the mother of his kids -- what if they inherit the water instead? and they better not inherit both or i will retch)

There are still airbenders, but there is no one and nowhere to teach them and train them. And especially after a century of brutal subjectation and genocide, any ability to airbend is NOT going to be encouraged to say the least.
Aang is going to have to pull a Luke Skywalker and rebuild the Airbenders since he the last living embondiment of the Airbender knowledge.

Also, with the subjugation of other tribes people still manage to find benders, even with no one to teach or train them. It's very likely, then that benders bend on accident when they are young. Airbenders would be more obvious I think, baby sneezes and there's a gust of wind or somesuch.
Since bending goes on genetic lines, it's likely not just the bender would be killed, but also the family, esp with airbenders. I had a thought there might be a problem with 'hybrids' something like with resus factors (is the baby is a diffrent resus factor than the mother the baby will die) that prevents such 'wind and air' combonations from happening.
Actually, given the map which placed the airbending temples being far apart, it's possible that air bending is a genetic quirk, or a trait that can be carried by other clans. Noting how Aang's arrows glow, including his eyes perhaps the markings are genetic? I bet it makes it pretty easy to kill off the airbenders since they are so marked.
And honestly? I don't think the firebenders give a shit about stopping the avatar cycle, considering the last ep of the season. They are TRYING to kill everyone else off.

But unlike say in Naruto where controlled breeding is needed to keep the unique traits, the Avatar world places more of a spirtual emphasis on the bending ability where the geography of the people affects the talent of which element they can use.
And the exact factors behind bending is not as simple as having blue eyes, Bending is a /talent/ like art, music or dance which depends as much on the sublime as having a good eye for color.

I am not sure I follow how the distance between the temples leads to airbending being a genetic quirk. As you said before, the Airbenders were monks and presumably nuns, they had to get their little darlings somewhere and we never did see who lives in the valleys and highlands of those mountains like Tibet or Nepal.

I think the glowy think was an Avatar only thing. It is mentioned early on that the arrow marking were taken from the flying bison as a symbol for the Airbenders.

It is pretty well establish that from the ruins of the temples that the dominant culture of the Airbenders has been pretty much wiped out in the series, but the idea that there are no Airbenders /anywhere/ except for Aang is too literal and close minded to consider. It fucks up the cycle and balance of the world too serious to be true. And ignores basic Earth logic.
1. Airbenders have been demonstrated to be monks (and nuns) and little Airbenders aren't delivered by storks. They have to come from somewhere.
2. Bending can be inheirited, but not absolutely. Haru and his father can Bend. Katara can but she is the only one in her family that can. In the Fortuneteller, one twin could bend but the other couldn't.
3. It is far easier to destory a culture than a people. Even with a century could the Fire Nation actually track down every little hamlet, village, and refugee with ancestory in Airbending. How exactly could they manage that?
4. Bending without training is difficult and problematic even when you are as obsessed as Katara was. With all the masters gone, anyone with Airbending skill is of minor threat to a trained Fire Nation soldier.
5. Whatever remains of the Airbenders is not going to be holed up in the old temples or anywhere easy to find.

I hope I can help you in your quest to find episode 15. ^__^
I always used and still use Bearshare to d/l Naruto, because it's quick and efficient. Most of the Naruto eps have (a lot of) sources, so you don't have to worry about dead torrents. I just checked it out and there is a Naruto ep. 15 WITH sources. At www.bearshare.com you can find a link for the program to install. Then visit Search, typ in "Naruto 15" and you just have to wait for the search results. Click on a search result that has [ANBU-AonE]/[DB] before the name to make sure it's the correct file and not some kind of porn vid. It happened to me a couple of times while looking for an episode... >_>
As for the dubbed eps: I still haven't found a link/torrents for those. Bearshare used to have Ep. 3 and it was pure luck for me to finally get it. But I haven't found the rest of the dubs, sadly as it is... =(
I could upload it if yousendit works, though.
