*sigh* And to reassure the Teamwork readers who can't guess where I'm going with the fic... The relationship is going to be EQUAL FROM ALL SIDES. Meaning, YES, Sasuke and Naruto DO and WILL love each other romantically -- hell, in my mind Sasuke already has a crush on Naruto the size of the moon, he just doesn't want to admit it because he's a big bad macho male with more pride than common sense and he's too proud to suck it up and tell his rival he feels all tingly every time they beat each other up.

I think a ffnet reviewer said it best: right now, it's tilted a bit in the Naruto loves Sakura who loves Sasuke who loves Naruto way -- and even that is a gross oversimplification of the complex tangle of feelings that links the three of them together; Naruto rivals/admires/friendships Sasuke, Sasuke protects/secretlyappreciates Sakura, Sakura has tons of affection/cutecuddlylove for Naruto. Eventually, they're all going to learn to love each other just as much -- if not in the same ways. Yes, there are different ways of loving people, and if you've been in love more than once, you know that already.

I love Teamwork and think you're doing all the characters brilliantly... considering that it's an AU and all the stuff that happened and everything. I'm a semi-lurker (um...i posted a comment to you last week)

I think you should know that your team7 story is pretty unique. I've read some of the other so-called naru\sasu\saku threesome fics and they are usually compromise triangle stories. ie. since naru likes saku who likes sasu who likes naru and thus they can't get their love on their own then they will compromise (with a big orgy) so everyone will get what they want while they indulge the other person.
Thus when people see your team7 summary they think its one of those. Maybe that's why they are still looking for some bashing within the fic because that's what happenes in those other threesome triangle fics. I'm not trying to put down anyone else's fics but I must say that you really make it work....... maybe miss thang really thought you had written a triangle story...
On the other hand if she initially thought that and then read your story and still complained then you need to be aware that some people cannot appreciate quality characterisation and all they want is pwp smexx. In all the other stories they would have been getting it on by chapter 2 or 3 instead of the wonderfully interesting conversations and interplay that teamwork2 has.
Okay I'm done now....wow i've written such a long post before...heh heh I must have been inspired by you Askerian.

And if the characters are IC, then that usually does not allow for character bashing, right? So, the bitchy reviewer clearly does not actually appreciate canon and is therefore not worthy of your time.

._. yanno, i wrote a few rants on some of your comment sections in previous entries. i defended Sakura and how cool she actually is. most people wouldn't even recognize this, but i said it, and you can go back and look all those times ago.

BUT if you're lazy/can't find it, here goes a basic overview.

Sakura is actually a really tough girl. considering that yes, she's not that special in comparison with Sasuke and Naruto physically, she's still really smart and is able to recognize and learn from a lot of the experiences she has. beyond all this, LOOK at who she's being compared to. SASUKE AND NARUTO. one of them has a demon fox with NINE GODDAMN TAILS. each tail represents a hundred years of life...that sucker's a thousand years old. you realize how strong a kitsune GETS when it's a 1000 years old?! that's tough, chakra and magically wise. and Sasuke is of the Uchiha clan. he's got more abilities and chakra naturally than most ninja have in their little finger, and he's not even fullgrown yet. the fact that Sakura can manage to keep up with Sasuke and Naruto, at least on some level, is impressive, and speaks to how cool she is in comparisn to, oh, you or me. she's a really cool character, when you think about it.

Oh, or, wait - despite the fact that the only time before the Chuunin Exam when Kakashi hadn't -completely- blown her off was when he was using her to goad and embarrass Sasuke and Naruto, and the fact that she'd had much tougher opposition during the second test, she managed to fight a much fresher Ino - who's supposedly the best kunoichi of her year - to a total standstill.

Wow, that sucks. I used to be a Sakura basher to some extent, but she ends up growing a lot during the series. In the beginning, she's just annoying, but she grows up through knowing Sasuke and Naruto. Started loving her during the Chuunin exam. =X And haven't looked back.

Free confession here - I'm mostly a lurker. But reading through your rant (which, btw, was absolutely GORGEOUS) and the comments on this topic, I just had to go back and read the chapter in question.

It's a wonder that your anonymous reviewer was even able to make a review at all. Or does this line not look familiar: "He was glad to see that she wasn't using as much anymore the straightforward, "let's bulldoze our way through the enemy's defenses" way which worked so well for Naruto himself but didn't do much for someone of her body weight and strength, and was instead starting to feint and use a few swapping jutsu. He was also glad to see that Sasuke was, so far, managing to keep a balance, not so fast and strong that she couldn't connect at all, but not so slow that she felt like he was throwing it because she didn't deserve a real match."

Now, what part of that indicates that Sakura is on the same level as Sasuke? Don't know about you, Asuka, or any of your lurkers/reviewers who will be reading my little rant, but ignoring an entire paragraph (and not just one, really - you are pretty clear on the difference in skill levels in several places during that spar - this is just my example) doesn't help you either enjoy/comprehend/achieve sufficient knowledge for legitimate criticism.

'Bout the only thing I've ever noticed is the little nitpicky "why use that word when this one would be much better" little thoughts that always creep into my head. And they're not even that important; it's like the difference between writing "would not" and "wouldn't", really.

p.s. any supreme rant (and yours qualifies) is scary while it's on - but your personality is too good to hold it against you, so we all love you anyway. ::gives big grin and box of chocolate - German, not Swiss, since the store was out::

but not cause I'm scared. You only yell at the stupid people. Mostly I don't have anything to say except "you rock," which you get enough anyway that I'm not sure you'd appreciate it so much. And for what it's worth, I honestly think that the threesome is so natural for Team 7 that it is actually my very favorite... not pairing... trioing?... sort of romantic fic to read. The way I see it, three kids are forced into a situation in which they are forced to rely and bond only with each other. Even Kakashi sets himself up as an adversary against whom they must unite. On top of that, they are at the very edge of the age of sexual awareness (in canon). Plus, they kill people. On a regular basis. That requires a sort of suspension of moral conventions that sort of invites a threesome. Even when it is convention in your village to kill people, it sort of messes you up. Not that I'd know personally. Hm.

Anyway, you're doing good and she can go screw herself. With something sharp. In the eye. And the keyboard. So no one has to read her inane spew.
