Okay, so I have my sketchbook, my notebook to write on when i won't understand her texas-y accent (because i know i won't XD), money for the bus and stuff, map of lyon -- what else do I need? *ponders* OOH prezzies, duh. mp3 thinger for the hour of bus going there, stuff for my headache, f**ing hell, WHY TODAY ARGH. Chibi pocket dictionary? *nervousnervous* ... okay maybe that's a bit much. And then, maybe not. I know i won't understand her and ahhh why couldn't you at least speak some japanese! louise did and HNN. *chews nails*

I don't have a camera though. T_T wahh, no pictures!

Okay, so... Leaving to see [livejournal.com profile] zania now!!! *dances*

edit: whee back. whee exhausted. we walked lots and finally it wasn't so hard to understand each other and i even forgot to care that my accent is awful and my grammar worse. (and it was so hot omgwtf*ded*) also, whee for random people having random chats with us and whee for church-visiting. XD honestly in the old lyon you can't go two blocks without seeing a church. ah well; they're pretty. still. FEET. OW.

we, uhm, have one picture, sera. ._.;;; unless zeal's camera eats it...
AND I HAVE A VAMPIRE/WEREWOLF GW DOUJIN. *spazzes* no, no one is trying to get me to go back to garou at all. I have a pretty embroidereded purse-box thinger and cow socks too. WITH TOES. mooo. <3

I guess it's too late to reassure you that Zan has a very educated voice, and her accent is not only not that thick, but she's capable of softening it and speaking 'clear english'. Hope you had fun!

Eh, I had the same impression of Zeal, too, when I first met her, but she's just very shy. She does like being around people; she just doesn't get chatty right away. Unfortunately, I expect your visit probably wasn't long enough for her to get your measure and start relaxing into chattering, which she can do once she gets comfy. But that's okay, Zan more than makes up for Zeal in the meantime.

And I'm glad I was proven right about Zan being a clear speaker. She'd been worried about that when we hung out two weekends ago. She was all like, "but what if she doesn't understand me, and I don't speak French!" frantic. I kept telling her, her accent isn't really as strong as some folks I've met. She can do a bland 'American Television' accent, which I found (while in Europe myself) is easiest for non-speakers to grasp since it's so similar to what all ya'll hear on the movies and tv shows coming into Europe.

Very glad you had fun! Now it's going to take you how long to settle down and get back to writing? ;)

I have exactly the same problem when I speak French. I can write it just fine and my written grammar kills, but when I speak it, all bets are off. Well, I'm getting better. Which is good since I'm in Quebec to GET better.

I'm sure your spoken English isn't that bad. We always think we suck more than we actually do.
