girl_starfish and jmercedesd, though don't fear, Mercedes, this is not the envyxed NCS sexx0ring i was hinting about XD
This is about Envy hunting Hohenheim down to Rizenbul, but arriving there a year or so late. And he meets the chibis. At first he hates them and wants to kill them, but Ed is so obviously resentful of Hohenheim it's hard to keep it going, and they're fascinated by him. (i think they meet in a forest or something? hm)
Then Trisha meets him and she's all nice to him and yet she knows somehow that he's her husband's "son". trisha doesn't know about homunculi, they just have a tense exchange about what he's doing in the area and then she goes all "oh! this is why I felt like i knew you." she thinks envy is Hoho's natural son, and of course being so overwhelmingly nice, she offers him to stay. She doesn't notice one second that all along, he was this close to killing her.
Man, that would be difficult as hell to write convincingly. And the repercussions on the rest of that universe... would envy stop then when they try to get their mother back?
(like i said, all girl starfish's fault. i have an overwhelming need to see bigbrotherly!envy, even tho it's OOC as hell)

Why is Al a neko and Ed a homunculus? I'm... not quite sure ^.^;; If I had to pull something out of thin air... Ed gave the kitty to Envy when his mom wouldn't let him keep it(Envy leaving? o.O ), and when Envy came ~back~ to find Trisha dead and Ed 'n Al trying to ressurect her, he still had it with him. Envy interrupted the transmutation, but not fast enough to avoid heavy damage to Ed and Al - Envy knew the arrays they needed, and managed to tie something together with shoestrings and chewing gum that got Al to stay alive by scavenging parts from the cat, and Ed to return, but as a homunculus(Pride, of course *G*), powered by either one of the boys or one then the other. *shrug* If you want to think of a better scenario, please do ^__^
