I don't know if it's the fandom, but my Naruto fic keep attracting reviewers who think themselves in a position to dictate the way my story should go. Is it because Naruto is just starting to get popular in the states, thus attracting tons of newbies who don't have a clue how to behave, or what? Or am I noticing it less in the GW fandom because I'm more used to it? Anyway, it's REALLY annoying. Grarr.

"Make it NaruHina/SasuSaku instead!!" ... rrrright. How about no? "update way faster"? yeah right. This is the fastest I've written in YEARS. "Keep it in Naruto's perspective"? uhm. fuck you? I know how my own goddamned story goes, you dimwit, don't tell me how to write it.

I think the GW fandom has settled itself down, compared to Naruto. Naruto doesn't have a /hub/ a . . . string of good archives and communities, so that it hasn't developed the sort of fandom generalisations that GW has. You know, they kind of characterisation expectations that you have in GW- which are.. . . in some ways good, and some ways awful.

Um, well, I do notice it on ff.net, depending on the reviewer, that yes, people will dictate to the writer how they think the next part should go...sometimes in the "Oh, I hope you have so-and-so do such-and-such" way where it's just their expression of what they'd LIKE to see...but there is one person who flat out spells out in detail what should happen next.

For the GW fandom, that is.

Yeah...a close friend of mine got a most helpful review that said "I didn't enjoy it but didn't NOT enjoy it" and basically reduced a fic full of symbolism to a "oh I liked Duo's braid, oh well."

But before I read your response I did a double take at your icon! I mean, the hair in it was recognizable right away (shhh Asuka, I'm on the hair again)!

I've since discovered that the minority is actually the dictating idiots. My A/N tantrum got me 90+ reviews, most of which are along the lines of "you go, girl! w00t!"

Not a GW fan, so obviously I'm not reading that story, but don't let the fans get to you on your Naruto fic. I personally enjoy it and don't think you should change a thing. Just keep on writing what makes you feel good. No matter which way you go I think you're doing a great job.

BTW, love the threesome aspect that's been there so far... Not a lot of people can pull that off.

yeah, it is, but then there's a difference between teasing the writer by asking for more because you love the fic soo much and ordering the writer to write because that's his job and you have better things to do that wait. x_x

nah, a couple of people have noticed, but I was evil (and the plot didn't let me explain just yet) so I let them guess what they wanted and didn't reply at all. You should feel flattered! XD

On a side note, the council is refusing to think about The Uchiha Heir being involved because OMG if he was there it had to be that he was raped too (who would give consent to the kyuubi's vessel? eww), and strong men who have to repopulate their clan just don't get raped by men(and even less enjoy it), ergo, he wasn't there. Or if he was he just did not participate.

Sasuke is doing his "woe is me!! I'm all alone and have no family and now my two best friends will shack up and raise behbies together and I'll be even more alone" thing, and Sakura is still blocked on "I had sex with naruto who is sort of the kyuubi and now i'm gonna have a baby". Doesnt help that the council only talked to her about the effect naruto would have on the baby and didn't mention sasuke at all -- she assumes that for some arcane reason only council members know, he just couldn't be the father, maybe because kyuubi has super-powered sperm or something. XD
As for Naruto... ehh. He just didn't think of it. XD He's going half by instinct, and since he was top all night... well, at an instinctive level, he kind of considers sasuke like one of his bitches. XD So he didn't even think of it so far.

I see the your reasoning behind it, everyone is *reacting* to the stituation, instead of rationally examining the problem at hand. The poor kids barely had ten minutes to deal with the new circumstances of their relationships, let alone with the revalations of Naruto being Kyuubi's vessal and Sakura's pregancy. No wonder why Sakura is almost hysterical, Sasuke is in ice mode, and Naruto is going out to kill things. They had no sleep, no food, no baths, and no time to freak out and then reflect on the stituation at hand. The poor babies.

I hope Tsunade knocks some heads on the council, they are just fucking with the stituation up. I swear if they are going to be sealing demons into babies, they need to get a clue and lay out what to do after that. They need to get some damm monks or mikos in there.

I think between the newness of the fandom, and the average age of the fans, Naruto doesn't have quite as well established sense of fandom ettiquette yet. I guess when your fourteen, it doesn't seem completely egotistical to tell an author what you think they should do with their story. And they haven't figured out yet that you're not gonna just write whatever they want to make some little fangirls happy.

At that age, the fact that if you wanted suggestions, you'd probably have asked someone who's opinions you trust for them instead of random fangirls obviously also hasn't occured to them. ;)
