It would be if I had an actual plot or exciting scenes to work toward. My mistake with crossed wires was that I loved the settings and character interaction so much, and had zero plot, so I forced some out. I had zero little attachment to it, so it provided me with zero motivation to write through the dull parts to get to the less dull part. I mean, people might have actually loved the plot ideas I had, but I churned them out because they were needed to fill holes, not because I'd been inspired and really wanted to see it happen. In retrospect I should have expected this result. Since I still have no plot to go with the shiny settings and character interaction, and I've done it once before and hate to re-tread, the result might even be worse if I try a second time.
