I voted, and then I pictured "giant white bunny" + "Galian beast" and now I want to change my vote. THE GALIAN BEAST IS TOTALLY VINCENT TURNING INTO HIS OWN MUTATED DAEMON.

That could work. He messed around with Vincent's, found out that a few things were possible. So when he got Zack and Cloud, he decided to try a few different things. Instead of putting someone's daemon inside them, he essentially transplanted one person's daemon to another. Gaia only knows what else he did, both to others and the boys.

Might work, for someone else's fic. In this 'verse Hojo wasn't very interested in daemons outside of how Jenova influence interacts with them.

I voted seagull, but was thinking more along the lines of an albatross. A literal one to his metaphorical one of him wanting to get to space.

I'll warn you, Albatross actually look damn silly. I was originally plan to have that be the bird form that Fai took when he was following Kurogane on his journey. But after looking at enough pictures of their floppy webbed feet and ridiculous looking beaks, I switched to a raptor XD

Albatross! I like it. And maybe people are always quoting the Rime of the Ancient Mariner at him just to watch him explode and rant. :-)

I'm the first "something else". I suggest a raptor of some kind. Perhaps a peregrine falcon -- at 200 miles per hour, their dive is the fastest speed achieved by any animal, and they're on the smaller end so Cid's daemon could perch on his shoulder.

Considering how seagulls are rude, noisy bastards with a vicious streak a mile wide... yup. perfect.

Dragon. Because it flies, and he's basically a Dragoon class.

My suggestion- a dragon, or some other fire related creature. He constantly has that cigarette in his mouth, and originally he was going to pilot a rocket. Plus dragons often fly as well.
