Tsuna can't sleep because his room has flimsy walls and a window and he doesn't feel safe. He goes around the house looking for someplace to sleep, testing several places. Thinks "hey didn't dad dig out a basement a few years back"
Back in the day he'd never really wondered. His father had wanted a basement for his expensive European wine bottles. Even though he almost never drank them anyway. Tsuna who couldn't care less about his strange father's strange decisions had forgotten about it all, because as soon as the dust settled his father was gone again. He remembered his outrage much more clearly. Now he couldn't believe he'd been so naïve and incurious. It wasn't a basement his father had dug out. It was a bunker. He smothered the burst of relief and gratitude. It was just too weird to feel the kind of feeling he should feel when his dad did his job as a dad. If that made sense.
Someone else (yamamoto? No, he has his dad. Gokudera? Hrrm.) arrives and asks if they can stay, he smiles and in the end they sleep in his room, it helps knowing the bunker is here but with someone else here he can sleep.
Askerian: so they come back from the ten years later arc and they're all kinda... shell shocked. >__> and it's becoming hard to sleep because they used to share dorms, and every garbage truck going BEEP BEEP startles them into battle mode, and the classmates and the parents and normal friends feel ... so detached from them Questofdreams02: yes? *____* Askerian: mostly it's not high action, just a psychological banding together and ... people just kinda showing up at each other's place with a pillow and a "can i sleep on your floor tonight" Askerian: also, group sex.
