Askerian: i had a tentative history for sakura where.. okay there's a war in the background, and she wanted to be a field medic, but her parents pulled strings and got her to do her internship at the ass end of the galaxy so she'd be out of the way, which is why she's in the research lab poking at sasuke Askerian: but it's unsteady Askerian: 1) field medicine and research are very different beasts Askerian: 2) if she's just a lowly lab tech she wouldn't be alone with sasuke or get to ask him much Askerian: maybe if she wanted to solve/fix x problems due to Y biological weapon that the other side is using on the battleground, that's more research oriented Askerian: and then when she's sent for her internship she's taken to sasuke's station because she's very gifted, and she finds an enthusiasm for it because she thinks the BEEPBEEP SPOILER might have a solution for it! book_people: and because it's her primary project, she's allowed alone with him? Askerian: not alone-alone but she gets to ask questions Askerian: if she was a lab tech she might get to draw blood but he would get to utterly ignore her as she does it book_people: ahah. That would have gone over well... Askerian: i think she's excited when she meets sasuke because he's immune to that bioweapon. Askerian: utterly immune book_people: ooooh Askerian: and she's all THIS IS FANTASTIC OH I WANT ALL THE FRONTLINES SOLDIERS TO BE LIKE THAT :-D Askerian: and he's all "... what the fuck did you just say." book_people: Yeah. Open mouth, insert foot. Askerian: and i think that's the first genuine emotional reaction she sees him have in her presence book_people: u.u;; And he's pissed at her Askerian: yeah XD book_people: well. that parallels canon pretty well? Askerian: thing is, he rarely bothers to get pissed at specific people Askerian: he's always a low-grade of pissed off at the world Askerian: but he doesn't react to individuals Askerian: i think she's mildly interested in that, except that her field is not psychology. Askerian: she's older than canon so she might go colder at him and say something like "of course, the emotional deadening is a side effect we would have to work out first." Askerian: and sasuke would be all... "... hsss >((((" Askerian: but at the same time he'd remember her now XD
