Ah I feel your pain! I got suckered in to signing up despite being a notoriously slow writer. I'm figuring anything can help so I'll just toss this out there:

I see that you are enjoying Detective Conan, so why not have incidents in the werewolves areas that need to be investigated? and you can write in short instalments? or even mission based? slipping character development in along the way?

possible plot elements could be people going missing, a group of -not-elves spotted in a particular area, lol you could even have them checking out things that turn out to be nothing more than deer in the woods and that jazz. after all, not every tip yields expected results!
