quick manga + shippuden babble
I know recently i haven't been doing my weekly manga babbles. frankly it's because the current storyline bores me. That motoi guy's flashback was both a cliche summary of what felt like every other backstory ever, AND summarized/hurried up to the point of being ineffectual. I mean, good for the guy for feeling guilty about his little stabby thing but i didn't get any emotional ping.
I was all bwee!darkruto but... well, those "fight your dark side!!" arcs always end with either "beat up your insecurities" or "accept yourself as you are" and since the first didn't seem appropriate I wasn't surprised.
...The hug was hot, woohoo twincest. XD but i still feel like kishimoto glossed over way too many issues. Sasuke being gone. Sakura lying to him and Kakashi managing him like a kid. The village -- more about it would have been neat. Instead he has a little fight, a couple panels of WHOA naruto has a dark, HUMAN side after all!! and immediately after the flashback is gone he goes back to jesusness. Booooring.
But. the hug was hot. and OH MY GOD KYUUBI YES NOW.
... bet your asses kishi will hurry it up too because it's "just a training arc" and the goal there isn't to develop the kyuubiness (kyuubi's been treated as a convenient chakra battery for-freaking-ever in this manga) but to give naruto another boost, so the fight might be cut short. meh. oh well, at worst i'll STILL get a few more panels of Kyuubi out of him. >:(
But anyway. At the moment the anime is just starting the konha invasion arc. The latest ep was about Konohamaru and while some scenes were pretty long it was also nice (i just get all AAA HURRY UP because i want to get to naruto kicking ass and hinata and kyuubi and the happy village and sakura and all of that. Also, karui and omoi! waaant. XD but. yeah.)
But this ep had the best omake ever. sasuke and karin and suigetsu at an onsen! XD ohohohohoho fanservice.
