Anyone out here having a basic or sponsored account ? With this year's promotion people with paid accounts (for example, me XD) can send ten of you a coupon so you'd get $10 knocked off the price you'd otherwise pay. It doesn't make them free, alas. Just cheaper for you to afford. Details are here. Note, it's impossible to get two coupons from one person or even several people and use only coupons to pay with. You'd still have to shell out some money.

I think it's not a great christmas present personally, but hey, I have these coupons for free, so why not give them away. >__>;;;

In other news i'm still working on the itasasu AU drabble set and am v. tempted to pick and write random other pairings CHOSEN AMONGST THE PILE OF PAIRINGS YOU GUYS ALREADY BURIED ME UNDER NO NEED TO ADD SOME MORE I PROMISE once i'm done there, but... man, itasasu is HARD. Anyway, haven't given up yet. >___>

I don't know if it shows up as an email thing. There's a page where you enter the recipient's username and press enter, and I copypasted yours so there would be no typo happening (I guess that means there's likely to be something in your LJ inbox). The site tells me I only have eight coupons available anymore so on my end it did get sent. If it's not in your inbox you'd have to check on the payment page whether it shows up as an option, I guess? Unless it's glitching for some reason in which case it'll hopefully show up later. I don't know where recipients are supposed to find it or be notified.

The payment page is still showing the full price and asking me for a coupon code, so...but the Coupon help page says that the coupons are 'sent' to recipients you specify.

Have you tried adblocker and noscript? I have both firefox add-ons and I never see any ads.

I can't run Firefox and most ad-blockers/popup, for reasons having to do with compatibility with a couple of web-based applications I use for work. But good suggestion...I know there are adblockers available for IE, it's just a pain to have to disable them every time I need to get some work done...

Yes, lure her to the paid account side of the ... wait, apart from the icons there's really nothing all that special about a paid account. Okay, yes, the lack of ads is alright, but only in the way not having gangrene is better than having it.
