Gundam Wing fandom ...

... anyone knows what happened to the GWA boards and Tyr? The GWA site itself is still up, but there haven't been updates in months now. ;__;

I'm so out of touch with the GW fandom it's crazy. DX

I don't know what happened, but I heard through LJ sources that Tyr is aware of the problem and working to bring the site back up again. So I don't think it's gone from the internet forevers.

There's a notice where the board should be that Tyr is aware of it and it will be fixed in "a few days" but it's dated from July 1st. I know what Tyr planned back then but since then there has been zero change and we don't know where she's at. I'm starting to get a little worried.

I dunno, though every time I try to go to GWA, a blocker comes up saying it's listed as an "Attack Site" and to be warned. D: Though if I ignore the sign, the site seems fine...

Attack site? That's so weird. o__o Granted my antivirus isn't up to date, so who knows, there might be some virus in the GWA server or something like that... I have no clue.

Sharon made a post about it last week, I think. I guess Tyr is aware and trying to fix it, but is apparently having a lot of problems. She does intend to get the site up and running again though.

Branch (Emily Ravenwood) was trying to get to the bottom of it, and it seems the attack-virus issue is related to one's browser reacting to something and not to the site itself -- and that, in turn, is related to the fact that the site itself pulls off a geocities site, apparently...? I didn't really follow it once I figured out that Safari threw errors but Firefox2 worked alright.

I 'spect it's another case of Tyr was/is working on it, but life & contracts are crazy again, and Tyr's attention ended up divided, at least for a little while.

It was on Geocities for a long time back when the world was new and all, but I thought it outgrew it's space there or some such.

Firefox is working for you? I get attack warnings in Firefox, but I've heard tell it's accessible with IE.

yeah, i'm using IE and I never got any warnings like that. I can access the site just fine, it's just that on the board page there's this:

File Not Found... meep!
