naruto manga 456

http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/456/01/

Woohoo, it's already up!

1+2+3. ... Whoa, I didn't expect the Danzou fight to show so much blood and such OUCHy body slashes. And then the way he just finished them off with a casual downward stab and then using someone else as a meat shield... Danzou is HARDCORE.

(I still want to know whether he's some random guy who stole an eye like Kakashi or actually secretly Madara, though. that'll change my enjoyment of him quite a lot. If he's a random ambitious guy who still has some Konoha pride, even if it's only for HIS version of Konoha, i'll like it much better than if he's just Secretly Evil Tobitodara who is Evil Because He Can And He's Butthurt. Which is more evil but also less realistic and while a couple of villains-just-because enemies are fine it bugs me when the last boss turns out to have been pulling everyone's strings all along. I like Danzou BECAUSE I can see how he started out as a prideful and stern, but not evil, man who happened to be great at intrigues, and who just let himself be dragged away by what he saw as the greater good and an inflated sense of what was owed to him. Instead of just "I will haet your descendents for a hundred generations for spurning me." Also nrgh if Madara is also tobi AND the mizukage AND danzou. dude. when do you take a vacation. When do you SLEEP. D: )

3. I find it interesting how Danzou's bandaged but revealed sharingan eye is the same as Naruto's bandaged eye. yay symbolism. XD (NARUTO HAS TEH SHARINGANZ!)

4. ... okay now I'm shipping both SaiNaru and KakaSai. nnnghhhh. ♥ ♥ ♥ *squishes poor emo tenderfeelings!Sai* I love how he's all pained and confused by his emotions. Ngh. God. Such an obvious cruuuush~

5. "... what... is that feeling?" ... NYAA. crush. CRUSH. IT'S A CRUSH. SOMEONE GET HIM A SELF-HELP BOOK. SOMEONE WRITE A FIC WHERE SOMEONE GETS HIM A BOOK. YES. NOW.

6. *makes note* Hanya assassins from Land of Wood. Also I like Danzou's philosophy of being proud he wasn't well-known -- omg AN ACTUAL NINJA-LIKE MINDSET IN A NINJA MANGA. who'd have thunk.

7. Sasuke and Karin cameo! What could they have seen dun dun dunnn.
... Konohamaru? -- oiroke no jutsu battle? Wha...? D:

8. I'm torn between "LOL kakashi ambush yay go kakashi-senseiiii so smart and funny~!" and "aw poo we didn't even get naruko fanservice. *sulks* " But... I have to admit this chapter is making me like Kakashi a little more than as a passive distantly benevolent figure in Team Seven's background. I like how he's with Sai, and I like how he of course already suspected they had secret watchers because Sai was compromised, and ... that comment... "dream of Naruto for a while." What? What? OH GOD WHAT XD "Did you want to see oiroke no jutsu? sorry" -- THESE ARE THE WORDS OF THE MAN WHO UNDERSTANDS THE LURE OF NARUKO-CHAN'S WILD SEX APPEAL. BWAHAHAHA. Okay so now I can see KakaNaru a little bit more as well. Oh, that perv. XDDDDDDDD First he said he loved Naruto (rasenshuriken training!), and now he oh so casually admits to a physical attraction as well? hur hur hur. >333

9. I couldn't care less about the Kono/Naru friendship, tho it was kinda cute; what I really liked was Kakashi's ^-\\ face.

10. I really love Omoi and the way he always has these crazy scenarios. It's a fun quirk. Also yay Karui~ (but wtf is RSI?)

11. At first I had no goddamn clue what was going on in that page, apart from slow-mo walking. I only got it on the re-read. They're stepping on Yamato's seeds, which root themselves in their shoes. ... did it need a full page? Oh well it was a little cool. u.u

12. Hur hur hur Karui was worried about Naruto. And Omoi too. Naruto is so pimptastic.

13+14. So far the characters are still very much one-dimensional jokes instead of full characters yet, with the Mizukage being motherly to the young swordsman Chojuro (who looks like he has a total -neesan complex) and misunderstanding what the other, older stern!guy says as sexist and being all aggressive with him. The dynamics are LOL, where stern-guy (Ao, such a short name XD) keeps trying to discipline swordsman-kun so he'll act more mature and manly as befits a guard of the Mizukage, and she immediately goes RARR!neesan about it, even though he does it for her. But I liked the bit where she mentioned her politics and how they were different from the Yondaime Mizukage -- yay more hints of deeper personality!

15. Another new country! Land of Iron. Okay, where does it fit, I wonder. Apart from "north". I wanna see a maaaap. Wonder if it contradicts the filler maps.

16. ... in the one hand, a country with no ninjas but samurai instead is HELLA COOL. In the other hand why do we only hear about it NOW. Last-minute brain spurt from Kishi, Y/Y? XD
... doesn't suigetsu's water freeze in such a temperature? *.* And eeeeeee Naruto and Sasuke are going to the same place eeeee. This BETTER not end up in another arc like the deidara one where kishi teased us with a hundred possible meet-ups between konoha genins and team hebi, and it ended up that they somehow all avoided each other and flowed back together lalala. That was so much buildup for so little. >:/
Juugo=Cinderella, Y/Y? He can talk to all the animaaaals~ hahaha XD

17. Oh hey Gaara in the snow. Naruto/Gaara meeting coming up? Was that sneeze foreshadowing?

... this chapter isn't everything and the kitchen sink at all, nooo. ...but i kinda liked it actually. it's very transitiony but...

I liked:
-Danzou being ruthlessly efficient about dispatching enemies. Shit, but if he was only twenty years younger I'd ship him with everything that moves. (only as long as he doesn't turn out to be madara too. because ffs at this rate all the ninja leaders and daimyos we haven't seen yet will turn out to be secretly Madara, along with the old cat lady who got Sasuke's team their new clothes, all the leftover mist swordsmen, and the ramen guy's daughter.
-S-sai. *SQUISHES SO HARD*
-Kakashi -- really liked Kakashi in this chapter.
-Mizukage-sama. oh god she and tsunade meeting would be epic, and not only because of the hot MILFs with huge racks aspects. The similar but not identical abrasive, blunt personalities... the "two strong-willed leader women in a male-dominated world!" The political aspects! the kunoichi games of fake "oh, we understand each other because we're both women~ I totally have a list of ways to possibly assassinate you just in case btw" -- ngh yes. yes. yeees.

I hated:
-Last chapter Naruto wouldn't even tell Sakura he was hurt and let her be useful. This chapter he's leaving with his team -- which includes Yamato... okay he's useful... and which takes Sai in their confidence... okay he kinda needed to know so he could cover for them... and Konohamaru... ............. WHERE THE FUCK IS SAKURA.

Sakura has issues about not pulling her weight -- and he doesn't let her help him in the only way she can reliably do so. Sakura has issues about being left behind, and... he leaves her behind. I don't care if you're the messiah, naruto, if I don't get an explanation as to why Sakura wasn't considered -- like, say, she needs to keep Tsunade from being finished off in her sleep -- and/or some kind of word sent to her about why you've disappeared, I WILL EAT YOUR FACE. Stop being such a raging holier than thou it's for your own good asshole. What happened to "next time we'll do it together"?

Oh wait, I get it, it only applies to Sasuke, which is a goal they share, not to Naruto's other goals, and seeing as he's not going after Sasuke but after world peace via preaching to the kages then he doesn't need worrywart Sakura. In a thematic ways it makes sense, and points out that even if Sasuke and Naruto cross paths there will not be Sasuke being brought home in this arc, but in an in-universe way it pisses me off how Naruto is coddling Sakura and keeping her poor weak little girl-head away from the big men's heroic decisions, and how she's not even taken into his confidence as to his other goals. I swear, for such good friends they communicate like ass.

I was meh about:
-Naruto in general, in this chapter he didn't make me loev him. It's okay, I still have loevs left over starting from the moment he came back to Konoha and all those team seven pings he threw around.
-itty-bitty flash of sasuke ... blargh.
-Samui continues to have very little personality apart from standing in the background being -__-; at her students. (where is their thiiiird. I wonder if it was yugito --no, she's older. ahh need to knoooow.) Maybe next time...!
-Samurai country is potentially shiny but the notion could have been introduced sooner. I know someone who's gonna feel like Kishi stole his fic idea, too. XD (that doesn't get you out of writing it, sorry dear.)
-I understand that the manga is about friendship and peace/war first, not romance, and Hinata's plot thread WILL be resolved, but I'd have still liked even one panel of Naruto at least being embarrassed and/or deciding he just can't concentrate on that kind of thing right now. Instead it read a bit as if after so much worry he just put her giving her life for him and confessing out of his mind. Kishi will pick it up eventually after it spends enough time in its background plot thread cupboard, but it makes Naruto seem a bit callous. Kishi's pacing sucks. DX

I can't predict much about where Kishi is going with that, and while some elements could have done with a bit of foreshadowing, it's still shiny. Yay for being unpredictable!

RSI = Repetitive Strain/Stress Injury

Ninja complaining about carpal tunnel. XD

[identity profile] gothicstargrl.livejournal.com 2009-07-16 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)
(but wtf is RSI?)

Repetitive Stress Injury, I think? *wikipedias it* Repetetive Strain Injury, I was close! Basically, writing or typing so much that you actually hurt the tissue in your hands/arms. And it takes a fairly long time to get it, so Omoi is seriously overdramatic. XD

And Juugo is totally Snow White! Or Aurora/Sleeping Beauty. Or whichever one actually danced around in a pretty dress in the forest with a bunch of cute fuzzy animals; Cindy only had mice, I think. (What amuses me even more is that by following this train of thought, Sasuke is Prince Charming. XDDD)

[identity profile] gothicstargrl.livejournal.com 2009-07-16 09:47 pm (UTC)(link)
. . . . *ended up drawing Sleeping Beauty!Juugo and Prince CharmingPhillip!Sasuke* I REGRET NOTHING. (http://gothicstargrl.livejournal.com/329123.html)

[identity profile] gothicstargrl.livejournal.com 2009-07-18 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Aw, hey, Cinderella and Aurora are easy to confuse, seeing as they have copypasta'd similar character designs. (There's even a video somewhere on the 'Tubes that shows where Disney animators recycled the same scenes, with different characters doing the exact same moves/dances as ones in previous movies. I think there's even a Cinderella/Sleeping Beauty one. XD Lazy animators are laaaazy~)

XD! If you don't write it, I think I might have to.

Sai = <3
(You were saying someone needed to write a fic about him getting a book? How about YOU? 8D)
Samurai country- = badass
Sasuke - WTF did you see? (At first I thought he'd come upon Naruto's Sexy no Jutsu)
Gaara - MANT MOAR. *___________*

*lols at "Tobitodara"* Hmm, you pose some interesting arguments about how Danzo could be possibly likeable if he were his own guy and not Madara/Tobi/Who The Hell Ever. I shall think upon this.

I have to agree with you about Sai. He's just getting more and more lovesquishable as time goes by.

Sakura needs screentime dammit! A little more character development and I can actually convince some of my friends that she doesn't suck.

Yay Samurailand. Now I know where Gato got his thugs from. (remember waaaaaaay back in the Wave Arc? those were the days)

NEED MOAR SASUKE. AND TEAM 7 PINGS. The last couple chapters were pingtastic, so what the hell happened?

"... doesn't suigetsu's water freeze in such a temperature? *.* "
Given that this is a world were people can walk on water, run up vertical surfaces, summon talking animals and breathe fire, I don't think the laws of physics really apply anymore. Logic is Kishi's bitch (as evidenced by the plot twists) and the physics of the Narutoverse would make Einstien's head implode.

Even if Sasuke and Naruto meet (read "randomly run into each other and probably engage in mutual ass-kicking") we're still not going to get our Reunion Moment because THERE IS NO SAKURA. Kishi you bitch.

[identity profile] nayanroo.livejournal.com 2009-07-16 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm kind of wondering if Madara was actually the 4th Mizukage, since they were all "The 4th Mizukage's nightmare is long over!" That should give him an hour or so to, you know, sleep and function if he were normal. But everyone knows Madara never sleeps and he is always watching. I like the idea of Madara being behind everything myself, but then again it seems like he's into everything anyway and has feelers everywhere.

Suigetu's "water" never freezes. >3

ALSO. HAVE SAI GETTING A BOOK IN A VERY QUICK AND CRAPPY LITTLE FICLET.

[identity profile] nayanroo.livejournal.com 2009-07-16 08:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Sai watched the backs of the three shinobi until they were vanished from his sight, then sat down and pondered the weird feeling that had risen in his chest at Kakashi's words. It had been an odd feeling that he had not been able to identify by holding it up to any of the usual emotions that he was familiar with. This perturbed him, since until this point all incoming feelings had been easily identifiable, and followed closely the descriptions written in the books he'd read.

But this one--it was like a combination of "pride" and "happy", though perhaps that latter could be something more like "delighted", and with possible hints of "joy". The distinctions were very fine, of course, but he would have to make them if he couldn't identify what that mysterious, light feeling was.

An idea occurred to him. Sakura was always acting emotional, perhaps she could help him! Surely someone with as wide a range of feelings as Sakura could identify what he was feeling. Hopefully she'd forgotten that he'd called her a hag. He'd read that once offended, people weren't likely to easily give aid.

Soon after, Sai found Sakura tending to the Fifth. Tsunade was still asleep, wrinkled and looking very small under the blanket they had covered her with up to her ample chest. Sai stood quietly beside the pink-haired girl until she turned and gave him a weary glare.

"What do you want, Sai?"

"I have a question, Sakura," he said, trying to sound what a book he'd read had called 'grave'. Her eyes narrowed a bit, but she nodded her head.

"Go on."

"When Kakashi told me that Naruto had faith in me earlier today, I felt a curious sensation that I couldn't identify. It was like 'happy', but more than that. Do you know what it could be?"

He wasn't prepared for the very odd stare that Sakura directed at him. Sai had expected that she'd yell, or snort and call him an idiot, or something of the sort. But this was one of complete surprise. "I..." She turned away for a moment (so Sai couldn't have seen the crafty expression that came over her face), and when she turned back to face him, she was smiling. "Well, I think I know, but I'm going to see if there's a book that can help you. Wait here, and keep an eye on Tsunade-sama."

Sai took a seat on the ground and made sure to keep both eyes on Tsunade while Sakura vanished on her quest. He could not understand the expression 'to keep an eye on' something. It wasn't possible for human eyes to move independently, and the only animals capable of doing so were some species similar to chameleons, and he couldn't summon those. They were also tricky to draw, so instead of drawing up a chameleon that could keep one eye on Tsunade he doodled several things in a sketchbook; a cat and a horse were cavorting about the ground around a Venus Flytrap when Sakura returned with a book in her hands.

"Here," she said, smiling widely. "I think this'll help you understand."

The title of the book was A Practical Guide to the Art of Relationship, blazoned across the front in garish colors, and Sai took it curiously.

"You think Naruto wishes to learn this Art of Relationship?" he asked. Sakura grinned at him.

"I think you want to learn it with him," she replied. "Why don't you read it? You'll be well-prepared by the time they get back."

Sai smiled, giving her what he hoped was a 'grateful' expression. "Thank you, Sakura." He paused, thinking of the phrase. "You are a good friend."

She waved him off, and with book in hand, Sai went to go keep a vigil for Naruto.

Some time later, Sai put the book down and stared curiously at it.

"I... have a crush on Naruto?" he said out loud. "And what I am feeling is 'infatuation'?"

It certainly fit. The feeling beyond 'happy' could, based on the description in this book, be the beginnings of what the book said was an 'interest' in a person. Sai only knew the word 'interest' as in a person of interest, or a criminal, but perhaps the meaning could be altered to simply be someone you were 'interested' in, who had committed no crimes and was someone you wanted to spend more time with.

He would have a lot to tell Naruto when the blond got back to the village.

I think Sai telling Naruto would go something like:

Sai: Naruto, the book tells me I have a crush on you.
Naruto: WHAAAAT?! WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT

[goes off to write it or something :|]

[identity profile] nothri.livejournal.com 2009-07-16 08:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Frankly, I'm just going to go with my own personal fanon reasons behind the Sakura question and assume that she and Hinata have been completely occupied with each other to the point that ANY interruption or distraction on Naruto's part would prove, at best, extremely painful and at worst entirely lethal. For the sake of his own life and well being, naruto must go on this mission alone and just hope they keep distracting each other until he gets back.

[identity profile] yira-heerai.livejournal.com 2009-07-16 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Kakashi and Sai made this chapter for me completely for all the reasons you list

My guess is it's not just the pacing on the Hinata part. She was probably like "..Wait, I told him I loved him because I was expecting to die. I didn't.

"...

"...

"... *HIDES FOREVER*"

I am in TOTAL AGREEMENT on the Sakura part. I mean, I know guys do stupid things in order to protect the girl they love (like not letting her tend to his wounds), but GEEZE MAN.

Gaaaaaaaaaaraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

Oh god. Watch. Sasuke's going to be all STEALTH and stuff trying to get into the meeting. Naruto'll just yell out that he's there. Gaara'll be like "Oh hey, Naruto. Come on in."

Okay maybe not, but that'd be hilarious.

[identity profile] sowell.livejournal.com 2009-07-16 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I find it interesting how Danzou's bandaged but revealed sharingan eye is the same as Naruto's bandaged eye. yay symbolism.

Yes, but WHAT DOES IT SYMBOLIZE? That's going to drive me crazy unless we get a direct motivational parallel later. And lol, I totally saw Naruto's bandaged face and went NARUTO GOT THE SHARINGAN.

*squishes poor emo tenderfeelings!Sai*

I know right? Aw, woobie Sai.

the kunoichi games of fake "oh, we understand each other because we're both women~ I totally have a list of ways to possibly assassinate you just in case btw"

Oh god, it will be criminal if they never meet.

where is their thiiiird.

I thought Samui...was their third? I know they call her "captain" and whatnot, but I figured they were the 3-man team and Killer Bee was their teacher?

Sakura has issues about not pulling her weight -- and he doesn't let her help him in the only way she can reliably do so. Sakura has issues about being left behind, and... he leaves her behind.

in an in-universe way it pisses me off how Naruto is coddling Sakura and keeping her poor weak little girl-head away from the big men's heroic decisions, and how she's not even taken into his confidence as to his other goals.

Yes, yes, a billion times yes. Also:

I'd have still liked even one panel of Naruto at least being embarrassed and/or deciding he just can't concentrate on that kind of thing right now

I wouldn't be surprised if we get that later in flashback. In this case I'm not sure it's so much a case of Kishi sucking as him knowing that the resolution of that particular relationship is a big draw for a lot of people, and him not wanting to give up that particular source of suspense. I actually think it's rather smart of him, from a marketing standpoint, to leave it open at the moment.

From a character standpoint, it's irritating.

I liked this chapter, too! Not much happened, but there was fun stuff with the kages, Sai, and Kakashi. Yay!

[identity profile] sarolynne.livejournal.com 2009-07-16 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Re: the samurai country, I'm not sure if it's a brain spurt on Kishimoto's part so much as it is that while he does a lot of foreshadowing, he's not really very good at introducing worldbuilding stuff before he needs it. Even if he does clearly have a plan for it, he just tends to put it off until okay, now this is relevant, so now I'll introduce it. Wait, what do you mean it seems random? Why would I mention it before it's important? I've noticed it before and, yeah, he's kind of short sighted about adding worldbuilding details. Which is funny since he tends to add character development foreshadowing a million years before it's important.

Anyway, now for the thing I wanted to add that's actually NOT totally random. I sort of hope that Mizukage's sensitivity to some things and her temperfits is related to the fact that even though she's leading a more nurturing country now, she herself was raised on those old principles? I'm probably reading too much into it, but I like the idea that her ideology is out of line with her actual baseline reactions. It's pretty in keeping with other stuff that's been going on, too. So, yeah, we didn't get too much character development, but it was only a couple of pages, and I saw some hints of things that could potentially be interesting?

[identity profile] sarolynne.livejournal.com 2009-07-17 09:24 am (UTC)(link)
Worldbuilding is definitely not one of Kishimoto's strengths. Seriously. It kind of amazes me that it doesn't come up more often. I mean, really.

But if the Mizukage thing doesn't become canon, I'm going to have to fic it. Just... you know, as soon as she gets a name.

[identity profile] shadhahvar.livejournal.com 2009-07-16 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Danzo/Danzou is a fun old guy, and I really, really hope he isn't Madara. Though then I want to know why he has that eye of his, and have that be an interesting story in and of itself. It can totally happen, right? \o/; I also love that he makes a point of having prided himself as being an unknown, because dear goodness yes a society based on secrecy (to an extent) should try and, you know, practice that secrecy.

If we don't get evidence that Sakura was being informed of what was going on in some capacity -- hell, even Sai, of all people, coming to let her know what happened -- pfft just make it more obvious she's written out unless she gets to ponder "love" ("Hinata...loves Naruto?") or we get to the point of addressing Sasuke. And she's not just crying and then randomly disappearing to... somewhere. The perpetual "hey all of us dudes won't tell the one chick what's up, sounds like a brilliant plan." I know that in theory too many tongues can wag in the end, but come on. Sai is still tied to ROOT despite the weakening of that bond in the face of Team Kakashi, and he knows.

The fact it was also Sai, and Sakura in no way shape or form appeared during the "Naruto is a punching bag" bit makes me shake my head. Wow, did her being upset over not knowing what to do in face of the new information on Sasuke make her also forget how to function in general? =/;;;

Seeing a sort of resolution/reaction to Hinata's actions will be a good eventuality as well.

Also. Lol. Samurai. I just love that we have evidence of samurai-like armor being used in the shinobi world, so the two don't seem as distinct as one might expect, and this whole Land of Iron... Makes me want to know if I can spot any industrial revolution. Either way, I know where the best blades come from. =|a

I adore that Sai is getting more connected to people (though I have to admit, my first thought was "D'awh, he's seeing Kakashi as a father-figure," given the direct parallel to who was telling that to Naruto, and Sai recollecting that fact, but that's me asdfasfd) and I love that he does keep changing.

I look forward to seeing the whole bunch of new characters get developed personalities. Mizukage will be more interesting when we get a bit more on what exactly she has done differently since the 4th.

Well, if she's been in charge since around the Wave Arc (yeah, long time huh?) then she's probably the one who got rid of the "Congradulations, you graduated! Now pair off and fight to the death." tradition.

[identity profile] shadhahvar.livejournal.com 2009-07-16 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep! It's more I'd like to see what else she's done, if the changes were more than just "Congratulations Graduate, now live together and limit the whole dying together bit." Unrelated, her reaction/the translated reaction in this chapter half makes me want to ponder if she got stood up/dumped a lot.

Which has nothing to do with politics of any sort, but in a re-read struck me as amusing.

I think she probably had to deal with a lot of attempts by their village council at arranging marriages for her, not to mention the rest of the rampant sexism we tend to see in the Narutoverse (kunoichi's don't get much screentime, and when they do they get their asses kicked first...)

(Anonymous) 2009-07-17 05:09 pm (UTC)(link)
good point, some of the "ninjas" we saw in Konoha seemed to behave more like samurai anyway, being upfront and noble instead of sneaky and "whatever-it-takes"

its actually a bit of a miss conception that ninjas are evil and "do whatever-it-takes"
ninjutsu is a form of martial arts and unconventional warfare. while it does cover the arts of stealth and espionage they are only parts of the training and as we all well know its not uncommon for people to ignore parts of a lesson and only take out the parts they want.

the unconventional warfare techniques taught in ninjutsu naturally lent them to assassination and other such (as they were viewed then) "dishonorable" actions, but while there would have been many taking such jobs, its probably very safe to assume that others chose not to use such tactics and preserve there honor, they may very well have gone and far as to openly declare there attacks much like samurai

ninjutsu is just an art of war, the person decides how they use it

[identity profile] doc-destructo.livejournal.com 2009-07-16 09:53 pm (UTC)(link)
I can only hope that because of his bandages, Naruto is confused with Danzou and mistaken as the new Hokage by the Iron Country Samurai. That would be all kinds of hilarity. Kakashi and Yamato would be sweat bullets waiting for Naruto to cause an international incident.

[identity profile] senior-witch.livejournal.com 2009-07-16 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
You know, I am beginning to believe that this could actually come true. And this would also be the reason why Kakashi and Yamato, but not Sakura and Sai accompany him. Only two escorts are allowed. (Kakashi will get difficulties with his mask though.)

(stares) That... that is an utterly awesome prediction and if it doesn't come true I think I will have to go cry a little. Gaara would totally play along with it too.

Yes Please. This has to be. Then Danzou would be revealed as the evil bastard he is when he tries to take down Naruto and-- Oh, the potential!

[identity profile] nyuchan.livejournal.com 2009-07-17 08:19 am (UTC)(link)
Everyone thinks that Naruto is so smart, but he isn't. Therefore he doesn't have an ounce of common sense in his bones and I'm fairly sure that he doesn't think about Hinata and Sakura (at the moment) at all.
I think that Naruto is on a "Wow I'm finally acknowledged by the village and I didn't have to be Rokudaime for that"-trip and now he wants to get more of that. He always tries too hard.

Not that I care for, but it's a given that Naruto ends up with Hinata, but I think that this will be concluded after the whole "I have to deal with Sasuke and make Konoha a peaceful village were little Hinatos or Narutas will be running around".

...I love your chapter summaries and reviews. They make my naruto fandom experience something that makes me all warm and tingly inside.

I have this semi-crack theory that Danzou is not Madara but his absently conceived bastard child. My proof: the ages would work, and if Madara had some type to sleep between plotting the destruction of Konoha and being Mizukage and forming the Akatsuki, he had time to have sex. Also, it's a plot reveal Kishimoto has only used with one other character- Naruto- and people were calling that one hundred chapters before it became canon. But my ultimate argument and proof: it's just as likely for Danzou to be his kid as it is for Danzou to secretly be Tobidara.
