1. Why do you dislike #11 so much? (ItaNaru)
Their only points of connection are Sasuke and the fact that Akatsuki wants to killinate Naruto. Naruto would hate anything that made Sasuke suffer so much on principle, but a lot of the ship seems to be "like sasunaru, but BETTER because we hate Sasuke and who cares about him, Itachi is the sexier, more powerful Uchiha". Though I hated it more before the big reveal and the crow-job because back then there was nothing to support the idea that Itachi might actually care about Naruto more than as a way to mindfuck his brother some more and use Kyuubi's power for evil.
2. Who do you know that ships #13? (KakaIru)
Uhhh. I knowchibirisuchan used to. It's such a meh couple for me I don't keep track of anyone else, the only reason I remember she did is because she wrote one of the only fics that managed to make me care.
3. What would be your ideal scenario for couple #3? (ItaSasu)
Itachi survives the final battle (blind, for added hotness). After lots of rage and clashes and pain, Sasuke abandons everything to get him away from that whole mess. His absolute priority becomes (stays) his brother, but now they're actually alive to reconnect. They talk about the way the clan really was, and it really hurts but Sasuke can deal with it because at least Itachi is still here and still loves him more than anything in the world. It's crazy and obsessive and strange, and it cuts them off from much of the rest of the world, but they don't need anyone else as long as they have each other.
4. What is your favorite moment for #1? (narusasu)

I realized it was always more about my interest in the fucked up clan politics than the actual characters. I can't see them actually attracted to each other to act on it despite their family, and the "arranged marriage forcing the character to learn to rely on each other and develop an understated kind of love" plot is really losing its charm. Beside, Hinata is too nice and calm to push Neji to display any of his inner fire or snark, and if he did he'd look like a bully.

I don't really like this kind of question because it implies i'm not able to use the backbutton when I see something that doesn't fit my personal tastes, and I'd be depriving the people who do like that ship -- oh, hell, ItaSaku. I just don't get that one. "hey Sakura, this guy betrayed that guy you said you loved and killed his whole clan, but he has even prettier eyes and he doesn't act as broken, how 'bout you trade up. You'll have to abandon the village, your team, your friends, and your family though."

I dunno. It's not really that I dislike it entirely, but the only type I like anymore is the RP things I do with Sarolynne, and that's due more to her and the way our character interpretations work than to the characters as they are in canon or to the fic they have going for them. I can't say I really like SasuNeji anymore if I only care about it in specific RPs.

Naruto was looking for a big bro/father figure. Kakashi didn't give it for years because he was busy trying to keep his distances and he was more concentrated on the little uchiha than on his sensei's legacy. Now that he openly approves and feels he can relax because naruto's not going to die on him yet, Naruto is the one who has long since given up looking for more than a general sense of teacherly approval in him, because he has Jiraiya and Iruka to fill those important roles for him. Even if Kakashi wanted to be closer NOW (I don't think he'd feel he deserves it so he wouldn't try) then Naruto is the one who doesn't even notice or care in a personal way about him. It's way too late. They missed each other.

Also shoving him with his "designated female counterpart" (Trowa's counterpart is his sister btw, see how romantic it doesn't have to be? argh) sometimes seems an excuse not to write him gay... which is really fangirly of me because Quatre being gay isn't even canon in the first place so him being straight shouldn't need a three pages long essay, but I still feel like it should. I just realized I didn't give much of a damn for Vincent and it was mostly yaoi for the sake of yaoi, often as a background pairing to support the front pairing i actually read, instead of because i actually thought the characters had chemistry.
Now I like Vince a little more once again, but I still haven't started shipping Cid/Vince again. i'll read it if an author I like writes it, but I feel zero interest on my own.

That's okay, seeing how the ship is between two optional characters a corner of my brain seems to think it's really a self-insert thing of people who want to fuck Vincent. It's really unfair of me, I can see how the spunky enthusiastic young girl and quiet/mysterious it-feels-like-he's-ageless-but-superold guy would be interesting, but the age difference creeps me out. Even though Vince is only 30 in real time he always behaves as if he was over two hundred, and she's so YOUNG in comparison.
... it's still loads better than Vince/Shelke. DX

Well. It's all Vathara's fault. She started writing AUs about them, and at first I didn't care about the characters at all since they're so marginal and there are too many background shinigami in Bleach for me to give a damn about half of them, but. I liked how Ukitake is always calm and nice even with his sickness, but also has a sense of humor about it, and how he's fair and keeps Shunsui from getting too chaotic, and I liked how Shunsui always pretends to be playful but he's actually badass and he really worries about Ukitake's health... Those two really seems like either Heterosexual Life Partners or plain old Life Partners. They've been together for millenaries and they kow each other inside out and they're still friends.
But I only realized I shipped them in the last Bleach chapter -- where the arrancar nailed Ukitake and Shunsui appeared between him, his expression gave me chills. It was just so... borderline crazy-hateful. It gives me the feeling that Shunsui pretends to be flirty and fun-loving and sociable, but if Ukitake dies then Shunsui might be tempted to burn down the world for daring to go on without him on it. It's... whoa.
10. When did you stop liking #7? heero/duo (gundam wing)
I haven't. But it's a passive kind of liking that's born mostly from nostalgia and what's easy -- it's more because Duo is easy to mold into interesting interaction with heero and heero is the one I really care about.

Not really. It was never my main ship. But they're not as entangled as team seven so a threesome is harder to work. I realized I liked Harry/Ron and Harry/Hermione better as heterosexual BFFs anyway.

None of them. I love Seph/Zack/Cloud/Aeris. I just didn't want to cheat because it serves both as a foursome and as a catch-all for any and all combinations between them.

1) It'll tell you a lot that I had to use Wiki to find Ulquiorra's name -- I tend to refer to him as Emogoth Darkangel McEmptyson. He has no personality! He's just a pretty face with lots of mascara.
2) It's not romantico-tragic, it's glorified stockholm syndrome. It gives me the ick.
3) ... I always saw a lot more pings between Orihime and Grimmjow -- he seemed to actually be a decent guy who might give a tiny bit of a damn about her, even if he covered it up with gruffness and pride. Ulqui never seemed to give a shit and did everything on Aizen's orders. The only time he seemed to have an emotional response was when he was falling into dust and reached for her, but to me it seems to come totally out of left field and mostly as fanservice for the UlquiHime fans. I probably totally missed the previous subtext, of course.
4) Orihime had just left Ichigo with the declaration that if she lived five different lives she would love him in all five -- that's even stronger than "i'll love you all my life" -- yet she's supposed to just drop her feelings and fall for Ulqui in under a little... week? month? where she can't see Ichigo? That makes her seem so fickle.
And inconclusion, stockholm syndrome.

Ummmmm. XD;;; I don't think there are any, it's more what could have been. Vegeta talking to Goku about the saiyan people was the closest canon ever came.

It feels like forever. I think i supped them 10-12 years ago when it aired in France and I wasn't even into fandom. Been reading fic on and off for the last six years.
6. What's the story with #8? What made you stop caring? Cid/Vincent (ff7)
I just realized I didn't give much of a damn for Vincent and it was mostly yaoi for the sake of yaoi, often as a background pairing to support the front pairing i actually read, instead of because i actually thought the characters had chemistry.
Now I like Vince a little more once again, but I still haven't started shipping Cid/Vince again. i'll read it if an author I like writes it, but I feel zero interest on my own.
7. Which ship do you prefer--#2 or #4? Sephiroth/Cloud (final fantasy 7) Harry Potter/Severus Snape

3x4 would need the whole show to be rewritten XD I guess it's vince/yuffie then. Whoops. That's okay, seeing how the ship is between two optional characters a corner of my brain seems to think it's really a self-insert thing of people who want to fuck Vincent. It's really unfair of me, I can see how the spunky enthusiastic young girl and quiet/mysterious it-feels-like-he's-ageless-but-superold guy would be interesting, but the age difference creeps me out. Even though Vince is only 30 in real time he always behaves as if he was over two hundred, and she's so YOUNG in comparison.
... it's still loads better than Vince/Shelke. DX
9. What interests you about #17? Kyōraku Shunsui/Ukitake Jūshirō u.u;;;; (Bleach)
Well. It's all Vathara's fault. She started writing AUs about them, and at first I didn't care about the characters at all since they're so marginal and there are too many background shinigami in Bleach for me to give a damn about half of them, but. I liked how Ukitake is always calm and nice even with his sickness, but also has a sense of humor about it, and how he's fair and keeps Shunsui from getting too chaotic, and I liked how Shunsui always pretends to be playful but he's actually badass and he really worries about Ukitake's health... Those two really seems like either Heterosexual Life Partners or plain old Life Partners. They've been together for millenaries and they kow each other inside out and they're still friends.
But I only realized I shipped them in the last Bleach chapter -- where the arrancar nailed Ukitake and Shunsui appeared between him, his expression gave me chills. It was just so... borderline crazy-hateful. It gives me the feeling that Shunsui pretends to be flirty and fun-loving and sociable, but if Ukitake dies then Shunsui might be tempted to burn down the world for daring to go on without him on it. It's... whoa.
10. When did you stop liking #7? heero/duo (gundam wing)
I haven't. But it's a passive kind of liking that's born mostly from nostalgia and what's easy -- it's more because Duo is easy to mold into interesting interaction with heero and heero is the one I really care about.
11. Did your waning interest in #9 kill your interest in the series? Harry/Ron/Hermione (harry potter)
Not really. It was never my main ship. But they're not as entangled as team seven so a threesome is harder to work. I realized I liked Harry/Ron and Harry/Hermione better as heterosexual BFFs anyway.

... XD No idea. Something about fighting.
13. Which of these ships do you love the most right now?
None of them. I love Seph/Zack/Cloud/Aeris. I just didn't want to cheat because it serves both as a foursome and as a catch-all for any and all combinations between them.
14. Which do you dislike the most?
Ulquiorra/Inoue Orihime (Bleach) DX DX DX
1) It'll tell you a lot that I had to use Wiki to find Ulquiorra's name -- I tend to refer to him as Emogoth Darkangel McEmptyson. He has no personality! He's just a pretty face with lots of mascara.
2) It's not romantico-tragic, it's glorified stockholm syndrome. It gives me the ick.
3) ... I always saw a lot more pings between Orihime and Grimmjow -- he seemed to actually be a decent guy who might give a tiny bit of a damn about her, even if he covered it up with gruffness and pride. Ulqui never seemed to give a shit and did everything on Aizen's orders. The only time he seemed to have an emotional response was when he was falling into dust and reached for her, but to me it seems to come totally out of left field and mostly as fanservice for the UlquiHime fans. I probably totally missed the previous subtext, of course.
4) Orihime had just left Ichigo with the declaration that if she lived five different lives she would love him in all five -- that's even stronger than "i'll love you all my life" -- yet she's supposed to just drop her feelings and fall for Ulqui in under a little... week? month? where she can't see Ichigo? That makes her seem so fickle.
And inconclusion, stockholm syndrome.
15. If you could have any of these pairings double date, who would they be?
Kyōraku Shunsui/Ukitake Jūshirō & Sephiroth/Cloud. XDD It would be epic fun.

Well in one hand Snape died while Harry was still busy hating his guts. But in the other hand, Harry named one of his kids after him, so redemption and understanding might have happened. (but maybe harry was only willing to forgive and admire once snape wa dead. easier to admit you were wrong all along when he's too dead to ever hear you say so, and to forget how much of a bastard he really was. XD)

... a whole subgenre of Saiyajin AUs is born. Chichi is taken to Vegetasei as a slave and meets Bardock! Chichi is a Resistance member fighting against the Saiyajin invasion! Chichi is turned into a Saiyajin!
Frankly, the pairing is total crack, born mostly because I liked the interaction they have in the fic I'm currently writing. But seeing as he's been dead as long as she's been alive and he's the father of her beloved husband... I really don't want to see it happening in canon. XD
