I'll do a post on the latest naruto chapter later, for now i'm still digesting.

One thing I'd like the fandom to be aware of is that the sleepyfan group's translation that was used on onemanga is often not that great, and in this chapter in particular they made Sasuke come up with the notion that he was going to kill all the kages, when actually he was just saying "the hokage", which we already knew. Not only is Sasuke not arrogant enough to believe he could kill the five of them all together, but also he has zero reason to go after anyone that didn't participate in the Uchiha debacle in some way. Why the hell would he go after other kages? he's fucked up, but he's not at the MWAHAHAHA I WILL MESS UP ALL THE COUNTRIES SO THEY WILL ALL SHARE MY PAIN level yet. If it's not Uchiha-related he doesn't care.

I don't feel up to discussing or debating anything about the chapter yet. fangirlz only plz. .__.;



In shippuden anime news, the episode that introduced Suigetsu was mostly fillers, but I found it to be cute, cracktastic, and full of fangirly glee.
Also i love Suigetsu's voice (cute and light and polite with an undertone of mocking that could shift into playful bastard very easily, which i think fits seeing Suigetsu's "cat playing with its food" quality), and even the small moment of hearing Karin's (deep femme fatale womanly) in the previews. Mmmh.

Also I am very happy they left the episode off with ten seconds of Karin's ass. And finally Suigestu. I almost cried when I realized it was filler though.

In the manga, I hadn't even noticed the mistranslation. I never assumed that he was going to go after the Five Kages, but I still don't know where the mistranslation was.

And the anime sure made Suigetsu look cuter than I've seen him. Yeah, I can kind of see the cat-playing-with-its-food playfulness in him. But for some reason, it always came off as a little more scary to me than was shown in the anime.

It was cute, tho, how Suigetsu was swimming around in that pond outside like, "Yay, I'm freeeeee! ♥"

I just hope they don't make Karin TOO fangirly like those gals at the restaurant in this episode. >.

haha! I'm glad people keep pointing out the mistranslation, otherwise i'd be hella confused. u_u Makes me wonder what the people who don't know think.

Is it weird that I squee every time characters casually walk on water |: like yes, i am ninja, i show u nao.

I kind of figured something had to be wrong when Sasuke said that. I mean, for all that he's seriously fucked up in the head, Sasuke's a freaking genius. How does "let's attack five of the strongest shinobi in the world, one of whom nearly killed me when I was 12, while they're all in one place and can collectively kick my sorry emo ass" sound like a plan a genius would make?

Also, I find it incredibly amusing that you would describe Suigetsu's "premier" episode as "cute, cracktastic, and full of fangirly glee" because those are the same adjectives I'd use to describe Suigetsu himself. (along with "bratty and full of psycho-mind-fucking skillz")

Thank you so much for clearing that up. This last chapter made me really fucking disappointed in Sasuke, so I'm glad to hear he is not in fact that stupid. *snarl mistranslations growl* Looking forward to your comments on the chap as a whole.

The sad part is that i was like "WTF" and then I was like "Oh, sleepyfans translation". C'MON, EVEN I BARELY READ JAPANESE AND I CAN TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HOKAGE AND KAGE. REALLY. Also Naruto totally just did his jesusmove.

Also, I need to catch up on the anime. :< Really.

Cannot wait for Kakashi Gaiden.

what annoys me is that on onemanga they never bother to upload a better version once it's out, so there are some extremely shitty chapters still online. blah.
