How about for Teamwork, a couple of the quirks the kids will have that you mentioned earlier wouldn't make it onto paper? Avoid using gender to keep it from spoiling mebe? ><;

Were children always planned for TW? Seeing as it was going to be 30 pages or so did you plan to write the start of their relationship (The Night for instance) or a snippet from their life after the kids were born/after the relationship was established?

What were you thinking when you wrote the preperations for dinner with Sakura's parents in Teamwork? Had anyone you knew inspired it? Or was it totally straight from your head?

Team Bonding Exercise.

Actually the fic was born out of a couple of random funny conversations my friend kineko and I were having, the first of which had Naruto in heat and then Kyuubiness and briefly running away and stuff, and then a longer convo about Team Seven and all their agemates going through the building of a new house and then the "yay!new house" party that ensued. It was mostly about funny antics and bits of dialogue, kind of like on-the-fly RPing. Sakura was heavily pregnant, so she wasn't allowed to lift anything or drink alcohol and so she was Very Grumpy. So yeah, Teamwork was always circling around Team Seven's future kid, but it was more about the pregnancy than the kid itself. (I seem to remember we also played a bit with "oh look sakura gave birth, whose kid is it?" moment, but... I've forgotten what we were talking about. Came up with the actual kid myself only a couple of years back. XD; )

Kin was sleeping over that weekend, and there I was on the computer, in the dark room with her on an air mattress and half-awake going "...asuka go to bed." and me going "yeah yeah gimme a minute, I'm taking notes" and the next day I had plus ten pages of the first chapter of Teamwork and minus five hours of sleep.

I didn't know what happened during The Night until... I'm not sure, a year or two after I started writing it. It always started with the morning after. XD; (made the start of the fic kinda wobbly actually... hm.)

I was thinking "Okay, everyone wants to see the dinner, it wasn't supposed to be very important but I suppose I can crank out two pages for it before I get to the BURNING HOUUUUUSE." Fifteen pages later... u___u;;

I mostly just tried to solidify Sakura's parents in my head and then I let the interaction take over. It wasn't really planned, I just had this idea that I could also use the scene to mash Sasuke's family trauma buttons so he could blow up afterwards. The characters themselves are totally random, I try not to use real people as models because it gets kinda disturbing to play god with them. XD;

(... Sakura's mom really comes across as such a bitch. x_x She's really two-dimensional compared to Sakura's dad. Blah.)

What I really wanted to write : Sasuke giving a blowjob. In the mood he was in, though, he'd have bitten it off.

In that universe Juugo is totally falling in love with Sasuke, but he would never say it out loud because that would put pressure on Sasuke. He just wants to follow him. Karin and Suigetsu eventually pair off, though they have that mutual fantasy of a Sasuke sandwich. Sasuke does not indulge. (not unless it's a team effort, because then it becomes team bonding of a very messed up sort and it's less personal than "Suigetsu and Karin" -- they're two people who also happens to be part of a team he's in, whereas if Juugo is here they're just parts of the team. I can't explain it right. Sasuke has weird logic about that.)

XD; Well, yeah, they try not to, but they really do. Sakura not so much, and Naruto plays with and teases them all -- but, well, only two of the three tease back, the third is a sullen little thing and they don't connect well. As for Sasuke he's totally gaga over his firstborn. He's very fair to the other two kids and he does love them and teach them stuff and everything, but if he says "no" about something and the kids want him to change his mind, they know who to send.

Aoru (third kid) is the baby of the family, and she's also very self-assured, so when she wants attention from any of them, she takes it. She's closer to her dads than her mom though, because with her sense of humor she tends to have a co-conspirator relationship with Naruto, and Sasuke approves of her drive to learn to fight, but Sakura doesn't let her get away with any of her bullshit and bullying. XD

Uhhhh. Good question. @__@; Mariemeya has charisma-type projective empathy? Isn't that just fascinating. XD;

( and, nothing that I think touches on your interests, but I was wondering what to tell you about and remembered you're not shippy, which would have been the safest to babble about, and now I'm wondering if I'll get flak because all my guys are ex-straight. XD Heero was with Relena (except they figured out that whether or not they had sex their bond of shared idealism and mutual inspiration didn't change any), Duo was with Hilde (they still love each other but their lives are going different ways) and Wufei had Meiran. Has Meiran. I'm wondering if, even with the explanation that people from the colonies are culturally more accepting of Kinsey scale fluidity, it won't be a bit much and the few people who didn't leave because it's sitting on the yaoi/het fence won't go OMG MY DISBELIEF. And then I start to wonder whether Wufei even wants to like men in this fic. I still don't know. Damn him. Hm, no, the fandom has changed in the time I was gone, i'm sure, it's got to be a lot more mature now... *askared* DX DX DX )

As for Crossed Wires!Hanabi, so far she's really just a random background character with little relevance to the plot, I'm afraid. ^^;

Ooooh, interesting! I love to hear how stories develop and TW has so many layers... I'm not surprised that the story started like that, the best fics always seem to spring from an off hand conversation and sleep deprivation. :D (Why is it that the best ideas always come when you're falling asleep?)

And more about the pregnancy than the future children, that makes sense since there are lots of pit falls with cravings and mood swings etc- though they still have nappy changing and the terrible twos to look forward to. *Evil laughter* >:) At least there are more people to rotate for late night feedings...

Another question, how far in the future are you planning to go? Are we going to see team 7's twilight years, their kids becoming ninja, realisation of childhood dreams? (Though I wonder if Naruto would want to become Hokage after becoming a father...)

one thing I learned: How to write better English. Also it fixed a lot of vocabulary words in my head. Like slope. Slippery slope~ I don't know why, I don't think I'll forget this word anytime soon. u.u-b

one thing I wondered about: why the hell I promised some Zechsy action. I HATE THE GUY. He's pretty, but that's it. I think I just wanted hatesex. >______>;;

I think I concentrated the most on the pregnancy and toddler stages because until then it's still about the three of them, naruto-sasuke-sakura, and the way they deal with something; the baby isn't really its own separate entity/person until it starts to speak in a way you can really interact with as another character and not as a plot point on wobbly legs who can't make its own decisions anyway. When the children are older they'll inevitably change the dynamic in a more major way than what's been changed so far and i'm not really thinking about it much yet.

Oh god I'm so not trying to think too far ahead. Seeing how long it takes me to write, I'll be at it for years and years. But... Teamwork 4 deals with : baby is born + gotta get rid of akatsuki for good. Teamwork 5 deals with stuff happening when the kid is a couple of years old.

Then I've got a bunny for middlekid, who I really luvvle, but I'm not sure I want to make it too long but kid should be around 13-14 in that one. Not sure we'll see the parents much though, since it's kid-centric.

Then there's this vague idea I had where Sasuke (it's always sasuke-centric with me XD; ) finds some bastard descendents of the Uchiha, but he's around 35 in that.

Then of course i've got a bazilion one-shots and please god let them STAY one-shots -- so some might be about when they're way older, but I can't write them yet because i'm trying not to waste my time coming up with stuff about the kids when the main fics aren't going to get to their birth for months and years.

(Then there's the Suna thing that goes between 2 and 3 and it looks like it's gonna be at least six parts and maybe nine. then there's sakura's prequel. i die, i diiiiie.)

XD; Oh, I SO didn't think very hard about that universe. Not sure what I could say about it that I still remember, it was so long ago.

There was supposed to be some actual KakaSasu in the first fic, since that's one of Sera's kinks and it was her birthday present and all, but the fic swerved on me. Not sure I could have written it right if anything really happened, so bleah.

The third planned fic was never finished, but it was supposed to discard the end of the first one and have naruto giving sasuke a pretty dress as a joke since he's pissed that Sasuke is super defensive and pissy, expecting sasuke to throw it away. sasuke pretends to throw it away, and then naruto spies on him as sasuke keeps glaring at the dress and being all twitchy-want-to-touch-the-silk-ribbon and being all conflicted and hot. and naruto goes from "haha you deserve to be mocked like that, asshole" to "...ohshit, why is that so hot." I completely forget how I wanted it to end, though. Also I forget how I expected Sasuke not to notice Naruto spying when Sasuke is already on alert because he's contemplating crossdressing. XD;

They settle down in an old farm and learn to survive there, which isn't really easy... XD;

At some point they meet other surviving clones, but... they're really not half as nice as Heero is. One of them is kinda crazy, and Duo has to kill him while he still hasn't realized it's not Heero. He's been around Heero so long, he forgot he was a clone XD;;; mm delicious angst.

... I really should go back to that story. u___u;;;

He probably wouldn't have said much. I can't see him loving Juugo back. He wouldn't refuse his feelings, but it's like... "okay... I'm sorry for you but I'm not going to do anything about it." Poor guy. T^T
