Though now that I think on it, Kishimoto really phails on original hairdo designs. The kid and her grandma looked like Sakura/Chiyo crossbreeds, and considering Chiyo and Sakura already looked kind of alike... DX No, "stick a random bun on top even though it doesn't affect the rest of the hair in any way" is not a valid way to make original designs. Blah.

Saro Lynne: I was pretty happy with the Naruto chapter, all in all. More Danzou stuff! And Tsunade stood up for Naruto, which was pretty cool. And Sakura got to be in there for a moment. In a perfect world, Neji would get to kick ass, for totally selfish reasons on my part, but interesting, actiony Konoha stuff is going again.
Apart from the fact that bwee! That dangling Danzou plot-thread is getting picked up! ... I'm kind of glad Naruto's not going to ride in town and dispatch Pain in a second, actually. 1) Kishi promised us some Kakashi and Sakura development, and that's hard to do when Naruto is there being Main Character and 2) he needs to come across something he can't fix that isn't Sasuke-related. But that "will Naruto get here on time?" at the end of the chapter makes me fear that SOMEHOW he and the old frog will head about things anyway.
Still, if Naruto and Pain are both the potential-child-of-prophecy, their battle has to gather a little more build-up and this-is-personal-bitch feelings first.
... I just want Naruto to rush back when all is said and done. He's so pretty when he angsts and rages. *_*
Also, destroyed!Konoha? awesome. Mmmh.

I always thought it would kinda neat if it turned out that which one is the child hasn't been determined yet, and thus the "winner" is the chosen child and his plan is the one to pass.

And that ending with Danzou was great.
What I found amusing/frustrating/ironic/whatever was how each member of Team 10 got their own quick panel with their parent, Team 8 was all shoved together (though I liked that picture), and Team Gai didn't turn up at all. =\
That part at the beginning with the candy store. The candy store, of all things. XD

Alsho, i really really really hope team gai is just vacationing in suna and come back in the nick of time or something equally yummy, because I can't believe they're showing the rookie nine in action without team gai.
