+There are some very. VERY. pretty pictures of Sasuke and Itachi this week. (there are a couple that looks weird, but just a few.)

+The art on Susano'o looks like a closeup of beginner sketches, with thick, unvarying lines and almost zero detail. WTF Kishi, got lazy?

askerian: oh bwee, what it's gonna DO to sasuke's mind. how wonderfully it's going to mess him up. He's gonna feel inadequate and like he failed his big brother's test FOREVER, but then there's the recent revelation that itachi never really expected him to catch up anyway and just wanted his eyes and never luvved him and aaahhh. :DDD
askerian: i hope itachi's not full-dead yet so we can get a flashback next chapter, but in a way i wouldn't be surprised if we didn't get any. I'd be sad though ;_;
sarolynne: I wanted Madara to come in and put Itachi down. XD Because he failed in some way or something. But he's busy. Sad. This works, though. XD

Watch as Orochimaru makes a comeback now that Sasuke's guard is lowered. Oh man, the hot. The angst. The yay.

... Orochimaru-possession or not, I hope we get at least a quick reunion for 400... ;_; (and now i have bunnies with Oro-in-Sasuke being all "my faithful Karin" in his creepy way that you never know if he's sincere (but just messing with you) or actually thinks the contrary of what he says and is about to lovingly kill you for it, and she's all "uhhhh" and we finally get to see if the "she's REALLY loyal to Orochimaru" thing was just random shit or an actual plot thread.

I might be hoping for too much. >.>)

Itachi: Dead from aneurysm. Well, that explains at least how Sasuke was going to deal with the psychological trauma of killing his brother: he doesn't need to! :D

Heh, instead he gets to deal with the trauma of having the thing he built his wobbly mental health upon (getting revenge for his dead) stolen from him forever. I approve. >D

Eh, next chapter is named "sasuke's victory" so i figure we'll still get sum uchiha. Now whether it's a full chapter'o'sasuke depends on whether Itachi's dead yet and needs a few flashbacks to get him going the way of the Asuma. But yes, Team Hebi and Team Konoha are REALLY overdue by now.

Yeah, I feel bad for Sasuke for how Itachi died, it kind of reminded me of the Sasuke/Naruto fight where it was really just a stalemate but Naruto happened to fall unconscious so it wasn't like Sasuke defeated him. But I did find it quite fitting. And an enjoyable chapter.... I do want Oro back though, it made me sad how Itachi was just *slicepwn* after Oro got to go *wootfreeihasasasukebody*

Yeah, I went totally crazy when I read the chapter. (Just check out my latest entry; I was freaking.) I also had the idea that Itachi would fall over dead, but I had NO FREAKIN' CLUE he would poke Sasuke's forehead in the process! My mind just blew a zillion fuses when that happened! *O__O*

Also, about Orochimaru and Karin and all that: I noticed that 'Rochi-kun seems slightly partial to redheads. He had Tayuya working for him too, remember? ^_~

But honestly, this has been the craziest chapter I've ever read. XDDD

Things that worry me. That stupid snake is still there and Sasuke is effectively helpless. Stupid plant boy is still there watch like the creepy stalker we know they are. Also where is team hebi anyway?

The forehead poke, great, now Sasuke is going to do the whole flashback thing, then Itachi is going to start talking (because of course someone has to tell Sasuke about Madara) and then Itachi is going to die while saying I knew you could do it little brother (or something to that effect). Is that wishful thinking on my part or what? Where is Team Hebi? What are Naruto, Sakura, Sai, and everyone else doing? Damn someone has to show up some time soon. What is with Zetsu and his personalities, is he reporting everything that is happening to Pein? Does he know who Tobi really is? So many questions and so much speculation. Lots of time to think about it all.

Best explanation I can think of for Susano-o is that the sketchiness reflects just how knackered Itachi is, especially seeing as how the outer shell fades away as he loses strength?

Sasuke's wooby eyes pwn. SO HARD. I love how, when Itachi is closing in on him like that, Sasuke just completely seizes up.

I am in favor of the strategically placed walls...however, had that wall not been there, there is the chance that Sasuke would have scrambled backwards, stumbled, frozen up and Itachi would have had to straddle him to get to his eyes. *brain melts* Before collapsing on top of him.

Possibly that would have been too gay even for Kishimoto? XD

.......by the way, I've commented on this before, but - seriously. O_O Has Kishimoto been reading X lately? 'Cause the eyes, the whispering of last words (that the readers cannot hear), the falling forward... this IS a Seishirou/Subaru tribute!

Anyway, I'm also expectig some flashbacks. Why did Itachi smile at Naruto? Why is he going after Sasuke's eyes despite him not having the Magenkyou? What was the true reason of the massacre? How did Itachi and Madara meet each other? Too many obscure points still, we need some clarification!

Gaaah, I bet I'll CRY for hours when they finally animate this part. ;_; I LOVE it!

Sasuke's expressions! Oh maaaaan.

And how he backs away from Itachi (pg 07) and then later can't back away anymore (pg 12). His looks of horror/anger/fear. Exhaustion has cracked his mask. I can't wait to see his reaction next chapter to all of this. Next week is going to be awesome for both the anime (the "reunion!") and the manga (Itachi/Sasuke fight aftermath!).
