The only thing I've got to say on the latest Naruto chapter is "Do I have to read over and edit my old 'Itachi and romance' essay-thing now or something?" I feel too lazy for that. XD;

AHAHAHAHA PEOPLE GOING "OMG ITACHI IS, LIKE, CRAZY!!! D:" LIKE THAT'S NEW AHAHAHAHA. Oh man, I love y'all, but srsly. ♥
edit: oh yeah, something about what people said about the new Naruto ending surprised me. They seemed to think that NARUTOxSASUKE, KIBAxAKAMARU, IRUKAxNARUTO, JIRAIYAxTSUNADExOROCHIMARU and others meant a pairing -- they were just posing next to each other! D: Japanese fanartists don't necessarily use the x to denote pairings, they just use it to separate the names of people who appear in a doujin/picture. x to denote pairings is a western convention. The only thing any of those x meant was that they were in the same picture, not that it was a semi-sorta-officially acknowledged pairing.
I didn't find any of the drawings actually romantic, save perhaps the one where Hinata looks like she's clinging to Kyuubi-Naruto, and that might be because the picture was grainy and blurry on my screen so I can't really see what's actually happening. (not that I looked very closely because ehhh naruhina. >.>)
Granted any Naruto-and-Sasuke pic tends to gain those "I WILL sex you up in a second, just you wait" *loom loom* vibes, but that's just the overwhelming, inherent OTPness of them that everyone with eyes can see. u.u

If anything, this also makes me a bit more interested in Itachi's relationship with Sasuke. I think it just turned a thousand more levels of twisted. I love how Itachi thinks that only they can recognize this true power together and that they were meant for this higher sacrifice, that their lives are nothing but an auxiliary object and means to an end for this higher purpose for Itachi to finally end the clan he detests so much and wipe the slate clean of what he thinks is pathetic behaviour from them XD

As far an looney Itachi... you've got to be a bit of a nut to follow some age-old legend from a guy who should be dead. And you've got to be even crazier to activate a power that will make you fall into darkness. Itachi's never changed in my opinion. He just laughs a lot more now.

Now I'm just hoping that Sasuke has -not- awakened mangekyo (pretty sure he hasn't), kills Itachi, and then various events happen that can lead up to Teamwork being wonderfully wonderfully canon. (then again in Teamwork he didn't kill Itachi yet and he came back to Konoha in a different way but you know what I mean, the possibility of team 7 getting back together and getting together in another sense and making babies XD )

Yah, if any of the trio died, I would... I denno, i think I would even cry. I didn't cry when Orochimaru "died" even though I loved him to pieces as a villain.

It's kinda puzzling that people can still be shocked at the realization that Itachi is INSANE. Sure he may have always been very calm and stoic, at least outwardly, but no one can coldly slaughter his entire clan to 'test his capacity' and claim sanity. The crazy!face was kinda startling at first, but since he was back to being mostly calm outside of that inner!Itachi space, I kinda let myself go with the flow. Then the chapter ended D:
Is anyone else here glad that people are starting to be more sympathetic to Sasuke as a character because of recent developments. Maybe it's cause I'm a Sasuke fangirl, but I was always kinda disheartened by how some fans decided he was just an asshole for leaving Konoha and Naruto for (according to them) no reason. It's like that there is this promise of a resolution and a good fight, they decided to cheer for the lesser of two evils :( Sasuke isn't evil, and if he were, he shouldn't be the lesser of them lol
btw Askerian ty for all your insights into previous chapters. I never commented before but your posts help get my brain started after I'm done squeeing over the lastest scans.

As if the mental rapes and the 'let's join an evil organization' fun weren't enough of a clue. -_- ...oh, wait, sorry. I forgot that in the mind of those fans, Itachi was simply JIRAIYA'S SPY in Akatsuki. No, I'm not kidding you.
What I did notice, however, was a litte group of Sasuke haters finally admitting Sasuke is looking MIGHTY FINE in these chapters, which is quite the feat for people who usually deny he could ever be in any way 'cool'. ^_^ That's something, I guess!
