Itachi can't be dead already... it's probably another genjutsu. Aside from the absurdity of finishing the fight everyone has been looking forward to ever since chapter 3 in one chapter, Kishimoto's last interview at the Jump Festa 2008 denies the possibility:

Hello! I've rather recently stumbled upon your works at fanfiction.net and also here and I would like to say that they're amazing! Your Teamwork fic actually made me like Sakura in a relantionship with Sasuke and Naruto, as I hadn't really liked her much before she toughened up in Shippuden. As for the translation for the Naruto manga, have you tried www.inaruto.net? They're usually pretty quick at putting stuff up too.
