SURVEY TIME~

Plz help!

phoenix_melody is running a survey for her sociolinguistics paper on "the male- or femaleness of the text" (basically, what differences does it make in a text if the writer is male or female, and how can a female writer convincingly pass herself off as a male writer -- and possibly vice versa), and she needs people to 1) let her analyze their fics (your anonymity will be safe :p) and/or 2) read passages of fiction and then tell her if we think the author is male or female.

I'm especially asking the few guys on my friendslist. Come on, we need a balanced view here. XD;

Well, not actually on your friends list, but I'd be happy to help. College graduate with a major in english, at your service. Unfortunately, I don't have anything of my own to offer. Everytime I get started on something, I end up analyzing and reworking it to death before I ever finish it. But I can definitely try my hand at the latter.

(eek. Do you really think there are serious flaws in your work and you don't know how to fix them, or are you just stuck in dissecting mode? ^^;;)
