I really want to see the outcome because it is like either Orochimaru pwned Sasuke or my Sannin is dead and that will depress me. Itachi stopped Oro *before* he started anything but Sasuke was already in the middle of the ritual so if Sasuke survives, then the boy is getting there XD. But Orochi ;_;!

So, do each one of the snakes that make up Orochimaru's giant snake body represent a different host he has taken?

And yeah, the alternate dimension thing pretty much means Naruto is going to take a little trip in and rip Sasuke out of that crazy scaly hide he's encased in. They did something similar in DBZ during the Buu Saga (and I totally hate comparing the Buu Saga with anything, especially something good, but Kiski does draw some inspiration from that series, and I can totally see him going "Hmmm....how could someone make that scene work, yet get rid of the giant WOD of superpowered chewing gum?")

I don't think all the dead people are hosts, necessarily -- there's way too many for Orochimaru's 50 years of life. Especially counting that he only started at around 25 or 30, and stayed in the same host for two years and a half, and before that he was in the woman for at least a year or two, too. I think it's just a representation of everyone he killed for his experiments, perhaps?

... XD ahaha. Yeeah. Sasuke's already been in Naruto's inner world.

I don't think we're going to find out who won until Naruto meets up with Sasuke(Oro?) again. Kishi's just going to go back to Konoha and leave us to find out the hard way. With Naruto. That's what I would do. I read 345 with my best friend and we both screamed when the chapter was suddenly *over* and her disconnected the freaking internet for the rest of the night. We were sure there was a similar shriek all across Japan on Thursday.
*Sigh* I hope Oro came out on top. I always was a fan of Damaetas.

I agree with midnigh_unicorn. We will only know for sure what happened when Naruto and Sasuke meet again.

If Sasuke did master the sharingan then he did defeat Orochi but if not, then I will go with the licking his wounds in a corner thing. ^^
