And like my dear cousin said while watching it - Kakashi is da shit. (pardon). But you know, Sasuke was so brief, but hell, so good. Sakura too. In all, loved it much more then the second one.
Hee, yes, the second movie suffered from a distinct lack of Kakashi. I love the first one for the team interaction, (I understand for sasuke, but naruto and sakura didn't even have two scenes together, what the hell. That scene with sasuke and sakura fighting in tandem in the first movie was so cool; I'd have loved something like that for naruto and sakura) and besides ice jutsus = cool, but overall the second one's plot was much deeper and the OCs a hell of a lot better developed. In the first, the uncle was pure unadultered evil, the new ninjas were kind of blah and Yukie was such a mary sue. XD Special Magickal crystal pendant, princess AND actress, and Myserious Past Connection to Kakashi. (i liked her anyway, but -- sue. XD)
All in one, I like them about the same, I think, but the first one feels shorter for some weird reason. XD
Yup, missed Kakashi greatly. And loved that Sasuke/Sakure interaction in the first one too, and loved Sasuke relying on Naruto to finish the fight. Just that little, brief scene tells us much more then the entire TV series in some degree.
Still, the second movie didn't sit well with me. Maybe because it was so cliche to me in some way, altough you could say that for the first one. (and you did, hehe) The only thing I loved about the second one is Naruto saying he won't be losing anymore friends. Ah, breaks my heart to see it.
