XD ahaha, I love fandom. The only place in the world where you can refer to someone you don't know as "she" by default, and in 95% of the time, you'll be right.
In other words, what does that makes, the fourth, fifth guy to comment on my LJ? heee. XD There was
stephensstuff, and
hitori_toshiro and
valles_uf and
rahedion_woif... anyone I'm forgetting? XD
"But i'm using a boy's name!!" Yeah, like
finnigan_geist and
gabriel_chaos XD.
(wait,
cindelius, you're a girl, right? I CAN'T TELL. STOP MAKING ME DOUBT, PEOPLE.)
In other news, I will never be able to take Uchiha Fugaku seriously again.

Son of edit: I have a new cousin! Welcome, Noémie. ♥

Pffft. What fun would it be if you were omniscient? :op Yes, I'm a girl. I also find it interesting that you're not the first to have doubts on this issue. My gender vibes must be all over the place online. *facepalms*
This comic helped to make my night, so thanks for sharing!

Most of the time I say "they" when i'm not sure, but in this case it didn't sound anything more than neutral, and I default to female in these cases. XD "Oh hey!! i'm male, damn you". yeah, fifty/fifty chance, kiddo. Not 51/49. :p

The first time I became aware of your existence, it was via your illustrations on Mel and Christy's 2x5 site, and because the Asuka character in their self-insertion epic thingy is male, I thought you were male too. I was rather confused when all other evidence began to point toward female!

And ahahahahaha, my screenname confuses people. >:D I would say I'm sorry about that, but it sort of was my original intention to be gender-neutral when picking the moniker, which really does translate to "confuse the hell out of people." Not that it would for long, because I'm waaaay too fangirly to be a boy.
Generally, I assume everyone on the internet is a girl until proven otherwise. So far, I haven't made the mistake of referring to a guy as "she," but it'll doubtless happen someday. And then I'll feel like a tool.

I like Japanese names, too, though. I'm going to Japanese language immersion camp this summer, and I got to pick out my name. Matsuko! :D:D Pine tree child... Er. /babble
The gender confusion reminds me of a book I have that I just know you'd enjoy. It's called Self-Made Man by Norah Vincent, and it's about this lesbian journalist who wanted to do a piece on the different ways the sexes are received. So she cross dressed for over nine months as a very convincing guy, doing everything from joining a bowling club to getting a job to going to a strip club to living in a monastary for a few weeks.
And lastly, English is a pain. What kind of a language doesn't have a gender neutral pronoun? 'It' so does not count. At least in Japanese you can skip the confusion altogether... :/
