Hmmm.... how about people who rag on Hyuugacest or Uchihacest pairings and think it's entirely implausable/icky/etc? Or the "Kakashi/Iruka pairing would never happen! They're only in the same scene four times for gods' sakes!" people? *is, as a kakairu shipper, completely aware of this fact, and doesn't really care because it just makes it all the more challenging to toss them together*

Hyuugacest is not only plausable, it's likely -- because BYAKUGAN. Do we see anyone who does not have the byakugan in the scenes with the hyuuga clan? no, we do not. this is because, OMG, they are very possibly quite inbred. The branch family members, the ones who are three or four times removed from the main branch might be allowed to marry outside of the clan, but the main branch? not bloody likely. So yeah, could SO see arranged marriages between the cousins.

As for the pairings themselves, NejiHina would be so deliciously fucked up, and they would have to work so hard to achieve any kind of balance -- mmm, so yummy. (nejihanabi: we don't know enough about hanabi, but she seems to be a right little bitch. probably a perfect match. they'd kill each other in a week,mhh. XD) As for siblingcest, be it hyuugacest or uchihacest, well, the sick/forbidden thing is part of the appeal anyway. OMG INCEST ACTUALLY HAPPENS IN REAL LIFE, so it doesn't count as a good reason to make a pairing impossible. (that and i have a soft spot for twincest -- could rant good about the appeal of twincest, separately from incest, but this is getting quite long, so, only on demand.)

ItaSasu. mmm, blood and angst and hatesex. oooh. *joygasms* Usually I don't like incest except twincest, but itachi. OMG ITACHI.

well, he pushes his brother against a wall. and mindfucks him. and well, he's so hot, and at the same time he reacts to NO ONE (except kisame, but kisame is ugly and thus doesn't deserve hawt yaoi lovin). So if we want hot sex with itachi-the-psycho, it kind of makes sense that i would be his own foolish little brother.

As for kakaIru. Well, i like the pairing if it's well written, but i kinda agree that there's nothing much in canon to support it. It can be good, though, if justified enough -- but i don't care much about the adults' sex lives anyway XD

The kicker-- not that authors do this stuff, but abuse it and try to make all bunny fluffy and candycorn sweet or worse use for cheap drama and True Luv.

And/or crossover and AU abuse.

XD!!!! god, YES. Yaoi writers seem to believe that every man out there likes little boys. Actually, even if rape is more about dominance than actual sex, it doesn't mean it would even occur to them.

Besides, rape is a cheap way of making angst. It's like, instead of inventing a way to torture someone, be it real pain or mental anguish -- bam! you throw in the magic "rape" card, and you don't even have to bother explaining the physical and mental scarring, you don't have to work on making the reader FEEL the angst, because everyone knows how aaaawful it is, oh noes poor boy ;__; As I said, usually sign of lazy writing. It's not original, and besides most people treat it in a way that makes me cringe. Sexual healing does NOT work on rape victims, rape victims do NOT fall in love with their rapist, and very few writers who use it actually bother to keep in mind that the repercussions usually go on for months, maybe years if it was particularly traumatic -- maybe all their lives if they are frail.

... unless in the case of ninjas. Ninjas know about torture and humiliation. ninjas are trained for that. Not to say it won't hurt them, or mess them up -- but show me a ninja without issues, and i'll show you a DEAD ninja. They ALL have issues, and they all continue to function anyway. Either they're survivors, or they get killed quickly. The ones who are survivors, they keep going, killing and maiming and doing everything to meet their goal. they would NOT break because of one rape, unless it involved red-hot metal bars shoved up their ass -- and then i'd think they wouldn't survive long enough to have issues anyway. Besides -- to successfully immobilize a ninja, you'd have to be one yourself. they can be lethal at 12. The adults know how to teleport, they all have more weapons hidden on them than a small army, they're not gonna break down and cry, they're gonna break free and start chopping off dangly bits. and if they can't, then they'll escape and get revenge later. They don'tbreak easily. RRRRGH.

Twincest. Ahhh. Be it the Weasley twins or ... well, any other twins. Incest between identical twins is actually less incesty than the normal sibling/sibling kind. It has an element of "we were once the same being, we're trying to recapture that unity". It's in fact almost narcissism, and almost masturbation -- it's not about loving your sibling, but about loving a copy of yourself. Or a reflection. About being one person in two bodies, about trying to bridge that gap, fill that void insice where there should be someone else, some other part of you. About having a soulmate, someone who honestly knows you inside out, and still loves you unconditionally. Someone who is a part of you, whether they want it or not.

It's just plain hot. XD

It doesn't mean they haven't but it doesn't mean they have, either. I don't mind the pairing, i'll read it if it's good, but what I can't stand is the little fangirls trying to sell it to me as if it was canon. Well, no. It's pretty, and it can be funny, and hot, but kakaGai has more going for it in canon than kakaIru does. It's less popular only because gai isn't pretty (also because he's pretty ridiculous XD)

I agree. An enemy ninja way more likely to get results with a genjutsu mindfuck than a rape. It'd be easier for a nin to retreat into their own mind, and disconnect themselves from what's happening to their physical bodies than their minds.

ohhh. Lazy writing, as I said a bit higher. People don't want to bother working to make us FEEL the angst, so they use plot devices guaranteed to tug on the heartstrings and shove them in the middle of a plot, usually with no real understanding of the full consequences.

Incest IS sick. It can be hot, but even if the concerned don't feel that it's bad, they'll always have to look over their shoulder and wonder what the neighbor is thinking -- even if usually they decide that what other people think doesn't matter, they'll still be aware that they shouldn't like it as much as they do. (this is obviously in the case of siblingcest, not nejihina or arranged marriages stuff, seeing as in their clan it's almost expected)

Abuse and suicide and rape -- lazy writing, no real knowledge of the issues, the reasons behind them and the consequences. The kind of "well they'll be sorry when i'm gone" line of thought every 13 year old goes through.

Mental disorders -- THESE ARE NOT COOL. *sigh*

Crossovers = some can be good if it's explained how the two worlds mesh/meet. Most of the time, writers are too lazy to bother. Oh, look, a convenient plotwormhole. =_=; AU; the same. anyway, 90% of everything is crap, and these genres are no exception.

School AUs are... lazy writing at its finest. =_=;;;;

As for het smut, i'm too deep in the yaoi side of things to comment XD i'll try to write some for teamwork, but eh, i've never done that before. *blushes* ...okay, i had naru fuck sexynojutsu!sasuke once, but i cheated, and anyway it was sorta yaoi, in a het way XD

well, weak!crybaby!sakura has a basis in canon -- the beginning at least. but i really don't like it when a fic is supposed to take place later in the series (say, during or after the chuunin exam), and she's STILL a crybaby.

Maybe she's weak. maybe she's not amazing, maybe she doesn't have a pedigreed bloodline, but she TRIES. Okay, she fails a lot. But she tries, and the more the series progresses, the more she tries. she can be cool, sometimes, even though most of the time she's too caught up in what she was told little girls should be like to be badass. She has the potential, she just didn't get enough time to develop it.

As for uber strong sakura, havent run across them too much. the only ones i've seen are sakura-sues and i do not talk of mary-sues of any kind because i've already ranted enough on the subject.
