You know, I don't especially like Naruto/Gaara. I mean, I like them both, but with other people, or sometimes in gaara's case, alone, because he has to work on a lot of things about himself before he can fit in a relationship that wouldn't be twisted and destructive and stalkerish and -- but well. I actually loved this fic, because the way it's written, it WORKS.
I'm not gonna rant for hours; this is a good fic, well-written, with detailed background atmosphere on the sand village and it managed to make me believe in the pairing and EEEE gaara! i want to hug him now. except i don't wanna die yet.
In short, if you don't mind less common pairings, read it, or else.

I probably spoiled myself to hell and back and my view of the Naruto universe is most likely a bit distorted now, but aww! I wouldn't have wanted to miss that. *giddy*
