edit: Just two quotes, to give you an idea of the sort of conversations I had to listen to.

My grandmother: "you draw well, but those animal characteristics are revolting. you should exalt this woman's qualities and feminity, not lower them with bestial attributes."
(it was about an askerian pic, who is quite male, thank you, but he was being girlish so it's okay that she thought he was a girl-- i'd rather she thought so because drawing a faggy boy woul have looked way worse) Okay, so grandma is a furry-hater. No showing her the wereperv pics then. Aww, too bad. <_<

My aunt: " It's stupid to be gay. Because when you're old, you haven't built anything, you don't leave children or anything to society. What do you have in the end? Just two old fags alone. That's worth nothing."
I think they feel like people choose to be gay, and if they don't choose to be, they should still shut up about it and marry and have a family anyway, because if you don't have the little wife and the two/three kids and the dog and the house with a garden, you're no one.
