Re: You asked for all the things! This may or may not be all

FIFTH REREAD REALISATIONS: From Karkat's POV, John snuck them into the bathroom of the purple and pink pilots; got cornered and ogled and lectured by the pink pilot; he was clearly uncomfortable from the start, before Rose was mentioned; and when she left John all but threw him out in his hurry to get away before she could bring the green pilot back. That, uh. That could be suggestive. o.O And now I'm curious whether 'stupid bad dumb' was his commentary on having a separate bathroom for boob-possessors, or on using the bathroom possessed by the highest-colour pilots...
Ahahaha XD No, the stupid dumb was def. the gender segregation. It's also cerulean and green pilots' bathrooms so as a Blue he should be okayish? It didn't ping Karkat as being color-segregated at all. Also Roxy sounded more disappointed and teasing than angry. He does understand body modesty too, he just doesn't get why it's any worse or better around other genders.

Moirails don't talk about the butt, huh. :D But yay! for Dirk, he'll finally have someone to rate butts with! Since he probably can't do it with any seriousness with the other pilots.
XD Moirails do talk about butts, but Dirk is talking about nothing but the butts! not the feelings attached to the owers of butts. That is appropriate friendly-casual behavior. u.u Alas Karkat also talks about girl butts, which Dirk cannot comment on. ;_; (he does think Dirk's butt is pretty nice, but really they're all in crazy good shape so there really isn't one who's not nice to look at. Karkat is in a softcoreish sitcom. :/)

Ahhhh, so is this perhaps part of what he mentioned in his tumblr rant, about strategic retreats not being cowardice, etc.? Have they subtly or not-subtly abandoned him, or implied cowardice on his part to his superiors? (It's sometimes hard to tell what's Karkat's lack of ego reading into the actions of others, and what's genuinely the intent of others!)
Yeah, some of them were actively refusing to follow Karkat's commands, plus after the first times it happened that he gave a bad order and someone got killed he was pretty cautious as trolls go, especially trainees. The sweep of fleet training really does act as a culling the stupid measure. :/ Funny enough culturally it's the lowbloods who are most encouraged to "make something of themselves" by taking risks, because they'll never live long enough for steady advancement. So often karkat will order a retreat or a group attack and some hotshot will just go ahead with their solo struting their stuff, and then whoops. Of course he still angsts about it being his fault that he didn't take them in hand better, but he can tell it's actually mostly not on him. It's still ouch. Also, yes, complaints about him to superiors happen, though they're hardly provable. It's kind of expected that a BLOOD MUTANT GASP would be weird and not fit in.

Kanaya's 'meddling' is made fun of and people use it to justify asking for, basically, one-night-stand ashen flings
yeah, wow, the way you put it, now i'm really seeing that they treat her like she's ashen-easy. they even say it in canon but for some reason it didn't impact what kind of rep she would have. i mean just cause eridan used a slur about her, it's just eridan... but ouch.

PTSD in trolls is actually fairly common (it's the big obvious flashbacks and outwardly freaking out that are discouraged). They see the paranoia and constant threat assessment as a positive thing, tho, even though in reality it's exhausting and you can't cooperate and therefore succeed as a group as well as you should.

John would still be a diamond whore that way. XDDD *snickers* oh yeah, he'd totes write that.
