I love that you aren't brushing off the depth of Gamzee's problems or slapping a magic band-aid on them. He's a big huge honking pile of instability and abandonment issues, and the fact that naming themselves moirails doesn't fix that? yes. yes yes.
And related: Karkat's eyes going rage-red at Gamzee, holy shit. I love that you gave us that detail even though Byrd has no way of knowing just how serious that is.
Also Bro using his room as a threat; it's such a calculating Strider thing, not quite reassuring the trolls enough, so that he still has the adult-might-make-demands emotional leverage in case it becomes necessary.
Basically: all the ways these dynamics are prickly and fucked up? Great stuff.
