They're a trio of JRPGs that are a parody of a lot of conventions, but it can be hard to tell if they really are a parody, or just really enthusiastically embracing them. They have a large visual novel component as well, 'diving' into the magic ladies' subconsciouses to learn more about them and get more power. Also you make equipment, talk to people at inns, and oh yeah, then there's the music. The first two games have completed Let's Plays at the LP archive, if you have a few hours to kill watching videos and looking at screenshots.
