I do the OC thing for ff7, I have several SOLDIER people that I reuse when necessary, I just haven't done much with them yet. They were originally created for Restore they haven't gotten to show up yet. Though some of them were also mentioned in the baby fic, and one of them gets to die both there and in the daemon AU Zack backstory. XD My Naruto fics don't use OCs much apart from Teamwork and those are usually crafted to fit the very specific baby/marriage/chuunin exam plot, and I don't really like the idea of creating people who'd be in several fandoms. That'd feel ... idk, like they don't really fit the setting properly.
Can't do it for THIS fic, anyway, since I'm making up wolf/person pairs, and that's better done from scratch than grafting random wolves on some OCs whose history would have to be AU!shoehorned in, instead of things that are made up specifically to give the canon characters stuff to contrast against. ... I don't even know if this makes sense. :X The GW world is vaster so people should vary more, whereas SOLDIER was a relatively smaller unit so it's fine if some people are always there in the backstory.
