askerian: Serious Karkat in a red long-sleeved shirt (0)

The moon thing just made sense to me somehow. I dunno, I like it. u.u And yeah, so long as the green one was there Doc Scratch would have his hooks in the new universe and just no. D:

Do we ever get to see what happened in the village, or are you skipping over that whole scene aside from scattered flashback snippets?
I dunno, it depends on whether John gets a scene but I don't think he will. I kind of didn't want to write it in full because all it is is yay let's walk into that villaa... ageokayno why is there a terrified/furious mob of people this is not helping with calm and productive and friendly discussion. There'd be no interaction and just a lot of "... haha well let's slip away unseen and keep walking then" from John who'd stonewall everyone about his emotions, and he had scenes last chapter already so let others have some! and if I stayed with Karkat POV he'd just do a lot of fretting over him -- even more than he's doing here, I mean. The chapter already starts being human-centered, Karkat keeps worrying about their comfort and what's going to happen to them in the future more than about the trolls', I didn't want to make it worse. (then again if they're pretty much home there's less of a reason to worry for the trolls. but still.) Snippets might happen anyway! I kinda want to find a way to get Jade to hear Vriska attempting to initiate a feelings jam on that very topic. XD I'll have to see how well this works, it's not high priority.

(I am not sure whether he'd be more upset by them mocking him or them being understanding and/or pale back.)
XD He'd be super upset for both, but the first, well, he's used to embarrassment. The second one would change his view of them as self-centered assholes and so change their dynamic which, being new, would be full of uncertainty and tension-making, and he might have to break their hearts by being all sorry i am a moirailed troll and make things hella awkward and sad -- so if he had to choose, please hand over that helping of public mortification.

:D :D :D

You look down in time for Karkat to flop around and headbutt you in the shoulder. He has the most adorable round horns, man, there is no way he could put any kind of serious hurt on a brother with those. Might bust someone's nose if he's lucky, but he never is. The universe granted your brother the gift of perseverance, and if he got things the easy way just by standing there he'd never get to show it off. Guess the universe had to provide things to rise against, too. Things shine brighter in the dark.

You kind of want to cuddle him.

"You hug me and I'll make you regret it."

Karkat's eye is cracked open, glaring at you. He looks like a wet purrbeast. You grin. It's pure magic how he gets you so well. "Aw, could never regret getting my cuddle action on with you, brother."

He goes all red in the face and splutters and bats at you, and it makes the daymares slough away, like just knowing he's not scared off (and still pale for you) is enough to shed them right off your thinksponge.

"... You are the most -- most shameless flirt I've ever -- ngh."

nghghghghgh my paleTP. Seriously the Gamzee scene turned out like a manifesto. XD
