Oho, that'd be shiny. Hmm. I'm not sure I want people to know about his ancestry until partway through the book, but at the same time he's a close-mouthed bastard about his personal life so it would be easy to have him hide it or dodge the if time someone asks.

At the same time in my head he has good control of himself and he's aware of his buttons, so I'm not sure how bad it would have to be before he explodes. He'd probably see losing control over that kind of insult as proving them right, and he couldn't take that. Grargg. I'm sure there's a way to tweak it... maybe he was drunk or something, or his partner died or... oh! he had to go undercover as a pseudoelf a short time before...
