I'm not sure they can discharge Gabe on your suggestion though, because he has the same training as the others... okay, I don't know jack about how to conduct a war so likely it's that I just haven't figured out specialities for them all. Because seriously in my head it's like "what did they do? uh. they. sneak behind enemy lines and. cause trouble? idk." Which is really not good enough and also likely not sustenable anyway, suicide missions or not they'd have had to work as a unit at least from time to time, they can't work solo all the time or even half the time, and therefore they'd all have had different things to do in the unit. (and then there's the support stuff, but no one will bother to give someone the were treatment and then ask them to take care of logistics and supply lines.) Still, I don't think Gabe was ever extremely specialized in anything, apart from new ways to kill pseudoelves. And all the weres could be discharged over that one, now they're at peace, except it'd be stupid because they're what scared the pseudoelves into going for the ceasefire in the first place. >_>; So once again we fall back into why Gabe and not anyone else... Okay, maybe he'd have training in some things on top of that, but couldn't he just fall back on more basic stuff if they won't need him as a, idk, radio operator or something. It might mean a pay cut but if it's that or unemployment... argh difficult.
Also I need to figure out a more accurate name than "black ops" to explain what they did and everything anyway since i'm using it in a really fanficcy way where I'm not even sure enough of what it covers. >__> It was my first rough idea of the concept and it stuck. Hrrrm.
